GX was ok, but couldn't live up to the original. The concept of 5Ds was ridiculous (card games on motorcycles, not sure who came up with that...), but it had a great story that was dark, & drew me in. I loved the whole thing. I tried to watch Zexal & couldn't make it past the 17th episode. The characters sucked, the protagonist was lame & obnoxious, I hated the new art style, & the was uninteresting & boring. Everyone's entitled to their opinion & mine is that Zexal flat out sucks.

Yeah, but Cowboy Bebop wasn't ended so they could replace it with an inferior version of itself...

People said the same with GX but then season 4....then with 5Ds but then they changed their minds....the cycle goes on.

Doesn't change the fact that Zexal is garbage compared to it's predecessors.

I'm not talking about fillers, I'm saying stories that go too long may lose their quality.

Basically the same principle that made the Cowboy Bebop anime so good. Although technically IT had a manga.

They dumped it. 5D's was an anime before any other form of telling the story, so filler would be impossible.

They didn't dump it, it just ended, and sometimes the shorter you can get the story across and the less fillers the more value it keeps.

Best Yu-Gi-Oh! opening ever! Can't believe they dumped this for that Zexal shit...

Their intentions were pure. They just didn't want their future to come to pass.
