This is very great information, you are adding to my knowledge a lot of good information, however, I have a concern about the elevated concrete slabs, some engineers do not consider levelness results as a slab evolutions criterion, is there any restrictions in the ACI or ASTM about these issues. Are the Ff/Fl tests still realible in floors where the concrete has been poured years before ? Is there a time limit for doing then ?

Hello Felipe. Pertaining to new floor installations (unless contractually specified otherwise), floor measurements must be done within a 72 hour window as per ACI 117-90. ASTM 1155's Note 5 in section 8 makes specific reference to ACI 117-90 on this topic as well. That said, there can be instances where floors are measured long after installation. You may see this when the floor is going to be polished. An F number test can be done to get a baseline of the floors current F number condition. In this instance the results are only "reliable" in that they reliably reflect the floor's current condition but not necessarily the condition of the floor at the time of placement years prior. Over time, factors such as slab curl, subgrade settling, and surface wear (to name a few) can significantly impact the numbers as compared to the day of placement. umm think made a mistake in one of your examples with 25% test ... you used 86 in the calculation but had 96 on the diagram

In the meantime if you want to see how FF and FL is calculated mathematically, be sure to check out the latest ASTM E1155 specification. It's all in there, albeit in a format that some may find a little difficult to digest.
