i know this video is old but if someone is watching today, do not remove the studs with rubber head. those are your hood alignments. just pull the plastic pannel and the rubber head will go trough the hole. same thing when putting it back.

I am getting a service message saying the battery fuse needs replaced soon, Ok to drive, schedule service soon. If it's this easy, I'd rather not pay almost $700 quoted and suffer a 10 hour round trip drive to a service center (and wait all day while it's done). You didn't indicate what factory fuse this is. The video shows a lot of different fuses in the fuse box. Is there somewhere to see what all the fuses are for? Also, your video description depicts replacing a fuse--the video only shows you putting a fuse in an empty slot, not actually removing one that is supposedly replaced. Some clarification please? thanks

Didnt show what to do with the actual speaker? It's molded into one piece, other speakers aren't a direct fit

Hi model s 2016 here is anyway to get - + audio out from the car just wire nothing else, try to open the door to use the speakers - + but can't open the door very strong and worried to broken it if I push out hard, is there any way to get audio out - + from this car.

Dude just pull from the speaker area and then the handel area. Pull straight out much less cringe then your messy way. Rich rebuild even explained why you shouldn't do this but do it his way

Just wanted to say thanks for this video. I (stupidly) dropped something between the window and the door and it fell to the bottom of the door, but I was able to fish it out by popping off the door panel. My next project will be to replace my failed door handle on the rear door. Hoping that goes just a smoothly! :)

I have the standard range model 3 2021 and it doesn’t have the subwoofer at the back. Is it possible to still install an aftermarket subwoofer?

This would have to come with harness from an aftermarket provider and most likely needs to be activated if you do not already have it in your car.

@@Asbal91 For Standard Audio System in Tesla, we do not offer the Subwoofer. If anyone offers that, it won't be Plug n Play, like our system.

My current front dashboard mid-range speakers are soldered in, and I just bought the LH Mid-Range speakers and they come with the harness attached to the mids. What do I need to buy to connect the LH mids to my car, but not solder it in, is there a "male" harness available?

There is a MUCH easier way without spudging tools! Just roll down the window and grab the top rear corner both hands with your fingers between the inner weather seal by only the vinyl covered plastic and pull straight out very firmly. You will not damage anything from using prying tools or even need those tools. The door panel will easily pop off from there; just be careful to catch it so you don't damage the wires.

They just took the dash out so it's easier to record The grill pops off and you can use a right angle driver or tool similar to what they were using to take the speaker out

Looks great! On the subwoofer driver, it looks like where the speaker cable is routed, there might be a bit of an airgap there. Maybe it wouldn't make a big difference but I'd be tempted to create a better seal there like with some foam or sealant. Also, do you see any benefit (since everything is taken apart anyways) to add some polyfill in the enclosure and maybe some sound damping material on the outside?

Hello. We apologize for the late response. Yes, it is beneficial to add some polyfill. If you add too much the sounds will become dull. If it’s not enough, you won’t feel the difference. Thank you.
