We kinda had the same chapter two times in a row, sneak past a monster to turn on a thing to turn on a thing to kill the monster to progress, Both blast pit and power up follow this formula.

Thanks, I was just a bit busy with real life stuff for a while, and once you've not done a video for a while it becomes hard to get back into the swing of things.

Underrated video. Nicely edited with quality commentary. The chapter gives a sense that you don’t want to stay here for long, or the sense that you don’t belong here that I don’t get when traversing other chapters. Maybe because the water areas forcing you to swim quickly as to not drown or the dilapidated walls. It emits a distinct atmosphere I don’t get in other levels is what I want to say. But those moths! Why did they have to cut the moths!

I couldnt agree more. Opposing Force was indeed a very overrated expansion, that while it add the most amount of new things, it didnt have a good balance. The weapons or are broken like the desert eagle, the wrench or the m249, or are useless as hell. The story was also pretty bad, as we dont know exactly were Adrian Shepard want to go and at the end there´s just a final boss because of it. Because we just need a final boss to end the story.... I never understanded why people considered it better than Blue Shift and Decay. Blue Shift like you said, was a more small but polished experience that dont put iff or butts, just gets to the point, and the interaction with Rossenberg is great. This solves Half Life biggest issue, not caring about scientists, only using it for a purpose and later having the chance of killing it. Decay on the other hand was my favorite expansion by far, as it just changes the core gameplay and its level design by adding coop type of levels and two split screen players. This was imo the most replayable Half Life game ever made thanks to its rank system, and quick access to chapters, that made it for a good pacing. And being an exclusive addon for the PS2 port, it just soooo great... Another reason why i love this port more than the PC og, seriously, Gearbox made such a good job with this port.
