4:05 It Makes sense because it does not clean the water, and if it did, it would make the sand dirtier, requiring a backwash and rinse! Thank you because my grandfather will understand all the functions because he only knows filter, backwash, rinse! :D And also, You have to rinse after backwash, otherwise it will bring the sand into the pool, requiring a vacum!

Why would you ever use "Waste" function, when you can backwash -> Rinse... Except maybe you want to drain your pool completelly.
