I really enjoyed the commercial for “MONSTER JAM! “ right in the middle of Jimi’s solo!

Do they react to the attack knob the same?
@ManlaySound10 күн бұрын
No, for the "Buzz" it had to be done differently by placing the potentiometer at a different point of the circuit.
@JacobWillett-h9p10 күн бұрын
@ seems like a great engineering feat to get them to sound similar just in general. How would you describe the attack knobs “sweep”?
@ManlaySound9 күн бұрын
@@JacobWillett-h9p The taper behaves differently, the germanium has an abrupt decay of gain as you approach to zero and at zero the sound is quite chocked. The silicon is more linear in its pot travel and gain not so choked and gated at zero. I don't have one now to check it out but that's what I seem to remember.

What pickups are those If you don’t mind🎸🤩
@ManlaySoundАй бұрын
Bridge and middle are Fender "65 Jaguar" they can be selected individually but also in series as a humbucker. The neck is a Roswell "Charlie Christian". I found the CC too fat and later I swapped it for a Strat pickup.

So I’m looking at the manlay m-200 and manlay Aladdin pedals can’t decide which is better for the Ronson sound, which do you prefer, or should they be used together

@@robg4210I recommend you the M-200 as the base sound and additionally the Ronno Bender for the solos and more agressive parts.

I love Peter, I love his version of this song, but the phrase @6:33 seriously makes me weak at my knees. One of the most touching sounds I have heard in my life. He made that Les Paul cry.
