What’s there to do for fun please ? Like restaurants ? Bars? beaches ? Anything near the school ?
@rachelhwang692422 күн бұрын
@@kene8402 the Bronco is a bar near campus and the Hut is a casual restaurant with a bar near campus that lots of students go to. Beaches about 40min to an hour away and concert venues within driving distance. You can also take the train into SF. Honestly, most places walking distance from campus are pretty tame tho. I like the sj rose garden 🌹

How do you understand if the classes are taught in Korean?? What I mean is, what's the reference language for translating the words?? For instance: 고장 - Broken. But if they only speak in Korean how do you understand what the words mean. Is it just pictures for reference. Like I'm so confused 😂😂 I wanna do KLI for a year but I don't understand how I'll understand the explanations if theyre not talking in English. How will i survive not knowing Korean at the beginning. Bc I wanna learn Korean the first year then do a degree in Korea so it's important I actually learn it. How good were u actually at the end. I hope the speaking, reading and comprehension outcome is good. Omg this is such a long comment lol😂 just some concerns I have and thought I'd ask. Btw, all the classes are in person now right?
@itacv81852 ай бұрын
this is the best way to learn a language. its called immersion. Basically the way babies learn, your brain will start picking up things by context clues, gestures, drawings etc and if you reallyyyyyyyyyyy need English for something they also speak English just avoid using it so people are forced to learn the new language
@ProteaAurea20 сағат бұрын
@@itacv8185Research has shown that adults don't learn like babies and adults are actually more effective in certain areas because they already have metalingustic understanding (not knowledge OF the language but knowledge ABOUT languages) that babies don't. So, if you're not a baby don't learn like a baby. Immersion is very important, but not during instruction. Why spend weeks floundering until you pick up patterns for things that could have been explained and understood in a few minutes? Korean Unis don't teach in Korean because it's effective but because their students come from China, Japan and all over the world, and don't all know English. Aim to have things explained in a language you know and THEN do a lot of immersion. With access to internet opportunities for immersion are limitles, even if you're not in Korea.

Hi Yash, I am a MIS major with a retail studies minor at SCU and am very happy with the program so far. I honestly don’t think I know enough about the MIS programs at the other schools you listed, but SCU is located in the heart of Silicon Valley so there are lots of opportunities to find jobs in tech. I have heard good things about Northeastern; however, I heard that it can be more challenging socially since there aren’t as many students on campus for all 4 years. I think another thing to consider is where you want to end up living/ working long term and choose a college that has a large community of alumni who work for those businesses. Hope this helps!

I didn’t realize the COVID school year year they let people studied abroad in Korea still as the rest of the world was locked down. I was studying in yonsei as a master student for a semester in fall 2022 and everything just opened backed up!

Hi! Since you did multiple levels, I was wondering if you know if you can stay in the dorm during the time between semesters (the 2-3 week vacation time) if you pay extra?
@joshuakorea Жыл бұрын
@marcelloguitar1369 yeah so turns out if you stay in the dorm for the summer semester for example, you will be given the option to pay for the fall semester or in other words extending you stay. By doing this, you also get to stay in the dorm for the 2 week break between semesters.

@rachelhwang6924 Жыл бұрын
Hi! There is an option to apply for a single dorm room when applying for housing. It is more expensive than a double and I think it’s only for SK Global not the I House.
