Stay near the coast if you want to stay cool. Most of SoCal is not going to be comfortably livable in a van like SD is. ✌

Whats blm land
@Adventuremooreoften4 күн бұрын
@@OkieYoyoyohi it’s land owned by the Bureau of Land Management that allows you to camp for free for up to 14 days (the time frame depends on the place but there’s always a sign stating how long you can stay) the only downside is there are typically no amenities like bathrooms, showers, etc. there’s no registration or anything, you just show up and camp!☺️🏕️

Ha - I appreciate the realness of the days when you’re doing nothing in the van! When traveling full-time, we still need downtime.

But how do you save for retirement? It would be great to live like this for a few years, but it sounds scary if nothing is getting planned for your future.
@Adventuremooreoften4 күн бұрын
@@jaythor92 right now, nothing. We don’t plan to live in a van forever so we have time to plan for the future. retirement is in 45+ years (if we even make it that far) so we didn’t let something that is so far away, decide our present life at the moment. We’re just having fun right now, isn’t that what life is all about?☺️

Actually, time in market matters. That is how the magic of compound interest works. It's better to invest $100 monthly in your 20s than to start in your 40s at $200 monthly. That monthly $100 has had a 2 decade headstart on compounding growth.
@AdventuremooreoftenСағат бұрын
And there’s nothing wrong with going that route. But like I said, we may never make it that far so we’re just focusing on having fun now. Life was never meant for worrying about compound interest and how much a little piece of paper is valued. Appreciate the knowledge you hold about it though.

The wave conditions in Carlsbad are horrible for skimboarding. You would have done better at the south jetty in Oceanside Harbor.

If your chasing epic waterfalls, coming down hwy 2 from skykomish dropping down the gold bar side, if you watch off to the left at the beautiful rugged mountains, in the rainy season there’s two spots on the highway that you can see a waterfall crash down one of those awesome peaks, and land on another one, breaking and then cascading off three different sides to fall another few hundred feet. It’s just above the little coffee shop with all of the Sasquatch statues if I remember correctly. Cool video

Idk , I can definitely see a little bit of green tint but it's almost crystal clear , I kinda like it but I know blue light at night while you're sleeping is supposedly not good for for you , according to sincere , so maybe green has a negative role ? Too ? So maybe that's why you don't like it ? But I can see everything in the van crystal clear . And thank you that was really beautiful and interesting . I really liked it . Oh I just googled it , both Blue and green light affect sleep at night . I know from experience one is more distributive than the other but I can't remember , so sorry no help . I just googled it again and red light at night is supposedly good for you , helps the body produce melatonin , but red light is hard to see in . Weird right ? Colored lights can actually effect your health ? And thought process by affecting your ability to fall asleep ? Anyway thank you again I really enjoyed your video .
