So how do you like the SR10 overall? I was looking into getting one of the Radical cars and this is one I was interested in. I wouldn't worry about your lap time given it was only your second time in the car lol. You did better than I would have done haha
@venomv10973 жыл бұрын
Very very happy overall. The car is well balanced, it inspires confidence, I felt comfortable in it in just one weekend. The caveat is that it needs to be set up right, to your liking, by a shop that knows how to tune suspension. This is why I bought from Esses Racing. I watched them dial in my teammate’s car in one day, based on his feedback. While at the track, they changed springs! Also sway bar settings, damping. Even though I live in California, I bought from Esses in Texas for this reason.
@GenX_Racing3 жыл бұрын
@@venomv1097 Thanks for the reply. I do plan to buy from a good shop as well. I was afraid of the very thing you described, not having the support to set it up. Glad to see the dealer gave track side support. Definitely helps in the idea of purchasing one. Do you like the open seat version more than the closed cockpit style like the RXC, or is it a racing experience/class thing?
@venomv10973 жыл бұрын
@@GenX_Racing the closed cockpit Radicals are more unusual, I don’t know a lot about them. They look interesting and race in the same class as the SR8 and SR10. I went with what I was familiar with, a friend owns an SR3 but I wanted more power 💪🏼

Great job Todd. Your speed thru the carousel and 19 is smokin fast! Much improved over last time. Keep leaning and improving. Radical Cup is going to be epic!
@venomv10973 жыл бұрын
Thanks Judd. I felt good about the carousel, and the next day I was able to stay flat out through turn 2 and past the apex of turn 3. Now if I can just fit all the puzzle pieces together on the same lap, haha.

From the look I got blown engine on the mustang leading to it spinning on its own oil that's just a sucky way to crash out of a track day running along then your engine blows up causing you to crash because I seen metal bits tumbling down the track that the viper ran over
@Aeneas137 Жыл бұрын
there's absolutely nothing on the track that would hint a blown engine.

Loved watching you two duel all day! Considering Johannes destroyed a brand new set of Cup2R's in 1 day, he wasn't holding back much.
@snakebitten69675 жыл бұрын
Wow. Johannes is no joke. Really surprised at how well the Viper did considering the driver mod, power, weight, no DCT etc disadvantage it had. Was Johannes really going hard? No knock on you at all. Just was expecting a totally different outcome considering the above. What did Johannes think of the Viper? Was he surprised?
@venomv10975 жыл бұрын
Snakebitten yes he was very surprised, as I was. He drove all out when I was his passenger and drove very well. I would assume he did the same with Rich Willhoff as his passenger. Rich is a two time Optima champion. The takeaway to me is that the ACR will likely win at tracks without really long high speed straights. For places like the Ring, the GT2 RS will win due to to its higher HP, better gearing, and bite exiting corners. Loved the PDK in the Porsche. It’d be fun to repeat the race with fresh tires on the Porsche to know for sure. We tracked three different sessions together, once with my girlfriend as co pilot, and I was faster than the Porsche each time.

Thanks for the info V. Always wanted to know how the snake stacked up against this beast from Porsche on normal tracks. Much respect for Johannes for actually racing you. Two of my fav cars on the same track with proper driving mods in both👍

What people don't understand is, their tires can go and their brakes could fail when they need it the most. Some people stop before their tires give but some don't.
@zanick26 жыл бұрын
no, that is never a problem when you drive at the limit.. the limit is always changing,and the driver should easily be able to stay under it. this was not a tire issue , this was an over control issue and poorly timed input problem. sad to see, because those walls at that speed does a car in for good. this is why skill development is far more important than performance . go slower, test the car over and over again before you push it past your capabilities.
@Aeneas137 Жыл бұрын
I disagree. there's no reason for that car to steer left right at that moment when the track is going to the right. and there was no reason to brake. that car was doing fine until that moment and there looked like something glossy on the track IMO.

Since I made this vid, there are new options. I'd take a look at the Detroit Speed coilovers and the Z/28 complete suspension upgrade. I think Pedders is out of business.
