Hi, It is very clear explanation on how fdm works. I have a question, is it possible to apply the second order finite volume scheme for the first order derivatives or first order pdes?

Why not use a real function to illustration your points? Most of these advanced form of math is explained in abstract symbols and is clear only to the author.

A question, if there’s any chance you’ll see it: how would you go about proving that two kets decomposed in the circular basis form an orthonormal basis?
@vladimirfokow642011 ай бұрын
In the last example, your method doesn't account for the small squares at the corners. Try: d=0.05 S(10+d, 12+d, 20+d) - S(10, 12, 20) = 8.415 # but your result is 8.4 The difference is 0.015 = 6*d**2 There are 6 squares of side length d you didn't account for. If you visualize in 3d - 3 squares are lonely, and 3 are at same corner.

Box Model Thanks for your video. Your viewers might enjoy seeing this visual aid. The sheet of spring steel buckled to a Gaussian curve represents a two dimensional field with the ends bounded. Seeing the mechanical effect takes some of the mystery of what the math is showing. Your viewers might be interested in watching the test video of the model. holy shit man. do something that is not found in a text book. the main difference is the damn interval of integration, but you just threw that shit in there like it's obvious. RANGE, FOCUS ON THE FUCKING RANGE.
