this is how confusion begins, Ephesians 4:5 one Lord one Faith, one Baptism. Jesus is the father, the Son, and the holy Ghost. Colossians 2:9 the fullness of the God Head dwelleth in him (Jesus) Bodily

It is not an incantation. The important thing is the reason... the motive for doing it. For The Remission of Sins. Some folks are saying that you are already saved at the point of baptism... but that is not what the scriptures say about it. Some folks say it is an outward show of what has already taken place in the heart. Someone made that up because it isn't in scripture. 1 Peter 3 teaches us that God is the audience and we direct our baptism in an appeal to him. Acts 22 says 'calling on the name of the Lord'. The best example of baptismal conversion that I'm aware of is Philip and the Ethiopian Eunuch. There is no mention of a crowd. There is mention of water (a prerequisite) And there is mention of belief (another prerequisite). And there is the example of [the great] confession (also a prerequisite). Also in the preceding passages... there is the message of the Gospel (the truth of Jesus) being taught (yet another prerequisite). These things are important to make baptism valid.

What is the meaning of the word REPENTANCE ?
@savingsoulsinthe21stcentur21
@savingsoulsinthe21stcentur21 Ай бұрын
The best definition for the word is found in Acts 26:20, which teaches that repentance is a turning towards God and then that turning shows itself by a change of action.

THANK YOU TEN MILLION TIMES PRECIOUS BROTHER. I THINK THE REASON WHY SO MANY OF US HAVE THE QUESTION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BEING IN US IS BECAUSE WE DIDN'T EXPERIENCE A SENSATIONAL INFILLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AFTER BEING BAPTISED. CAN YOU LET US KNOW IF WE ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE A SENSATIONAL EXPERIENCE OF THE MOMENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT COMING IN? WERE WE NOT FULLY REPENTED? WHY WERE SOME PEOPLE EXPERIENCING THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WITH THE EVIDENCE OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES WHILE OTHERS JUST COME UP IN GRATITUDE FOR GODS BLESSING?

I loved that movie Joseph. You had it on a DVD or a VCR tape and lent it to me. It was so well done and such a good story about Joseph’s life. A couple years ago. I asked Pat to get me the movie for Christmas and he ordered the DVD from Amazon. They cut out so many important scenes from that movie. However I am really enjoying this study, James. Thank you!

Im sorry but how are you not contradicting yourself? You say that 1000 years represents forever or totally and isn't literal. Yet the Bible says Satan is loosed after 1000 years. But if 1000 equals forever, that means Satan is locked up forever. I must be missing something

Satan is bound totally in his use of Rome. Thus, he is totally bound. Because we see back in chapters 17 through 19 , Rome has pledged the 7 churches of Asia, but has now been destroyed. But then Satan is immediately released to go find someone else to attack God's people. That is what he does.

This is a great question. The only example we have in the Bible is males doing the baptism, except in Acts 2 where we are just not told with the 3,000? So, when ever possible, I would get a man to do it. But, what if there are no men available? What do we do? The Bible does not specifically say. Pray about it and then make your decision. After seeing the impotence of baptism, i would hate to pass over it, just because we could not find a Christian man! That is my thoughts. Hope it helped?
@dieandereseite3197
@dieandereseite3197 2 ай бұрын
There is clear reference what to Do when a man is either not available or does not fullfill his responsibility. In the Story of deborah in the book of judges,she is telling few Times that its the mans Job to fight the war and if He doesn't do it the woman will receive the mans glory (the glory/responsibility God advised to man). Deborah only took the job (was giving the job) of a judge and a soldier was because the man was afraid and therfore a woman had to Do a man's job. If there is no brother available or brothers who don't want to Do it (ask yourself then if those are brothers....) then you as a woman have to Do the duty which was giving originally to man. But as debora did, make Sure you Do everything to give the responsibility and glory to man in the first place.

THANK YOU! Nothing drives me nuts more than Christians quoting this phrase as if it's in the Bible, "This earth isn't my home, I'm just passing through." WRONG, not only does the bible NEVER state such a thing, it states the exact opposite. WE are to establish HIS Kingdom HERE. WE are to OCCUPY until He comes. And YES, THIS Earth IS our Home. Read Revelations, where is the New Kingdom set up? Right here on Earth. Yes, it's a NEW Earth, but it's still Earth, it's not heaven. This is why Jesus always talked about the KINGDOM of Heaven. Never talked about Heaven as being our home. He only references it in terms of His Father's throne. Earth is OUR domain, and we are to establish God's Kingdom HERE! This all came out of the damnable Pre-trib heresy which created this escapism mentality in Christians. It fooled us into ceding this territory Christ won for us, and surrender it to the Enemy, by mere inaction. This country was FOUNDED on Judeo-Christian values, and look at it now? Ironically, it's going to bring about the very persecution and tribulation they sought to avoid.

Look at the list of all those who will be thrown into the lake of fire, guess who makes the TOP of the list. Almost NO ONE guesses cowards. This is when I get into how dangerous they are. Most of us think of cowards as harmless. Certainly no one that you are going to respect, maybe even pity, but we wouldn't put them at the top of the EVIL list. Yet God does!

A person must be “baptized” to be saved, but it has nothing to do with water. The proof is found below. Old Covenant Baptism vs. New Covenant Baptism (water vs. Spirit) Water baptism was a part of the Old Covenant system of ritual washing. The Old Covenant priests had to wash before beginning their service in the temple. (Ex. 30:17-30) When Christ was water baptized by His cousin John in the Jordan River, He was under the Old Covenant system. He also only ate certain foods, and wore certain clothes, as prescribed by the 613 Old Covenant laws. Christ was water baptized by John and then the Holy Spirit came from heaven. (Acts 10:38) The order is reversed in the New Covenant. A person receives the Holy Spirit upon conversion, and then believers often declare their conversion to their friends and family through a water baptism ceremony. Which baptism makes you a member of Christ’s Church? The New Covenant conversion process is described below. (Born-again) Eph 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, (A person must “hear” the Gospel, and “believe” the Gospel, and will then be “sealed” with the Holy Spirit.) Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (See Jer. 31:34 for the New Covenant promise, and 1 John 2:27 for the fulfillment) ============ Which baptism is a part of the salvation process, based on what the Bible says? What did Peter say below? Acts 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Acts 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Based on Luke 3:16, and John 1:33, and Acts 1:5, and Acts 11:15-16, the most important thing about the word "baptize" in the New Testament has nothing to do with water. The Holy Spirit is the master teacher promised to New Covenant believers in Jeremiah 31:34, and John 14:26, and is found fulfilled in Ephesians 1:13, and 1 John 2:27. Unfortunately, many modern Christians see water/ every time they read the word "baptize" in the text. Based on the above, what is the one baptism of our faith found in the passage below? How many times is the word "Spirit" found in the passage, and how many times is the word "water" found in the passage? Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, (See 1 Cor. 12:13) “baptize” KJV Mat_3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Mar_1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Water or Holy Spirit?, See Eph. 1-13.) Luk_3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: Joh_1:26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; Joh_1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. Act 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Act 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 1Co_1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (See Eph. 4:1-5) Heb 9:10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. (Old Covenant ----> New Covenant)

Yep - There is absolutely nothing mysterious about Biblical "tongues" - and there is only *one* type - when referring to something spoken, they are nothing more than real, rational language(s); usually, but not always, unknown to those listening to them, but always known by the speaker(s) - it’s their native language (in some cases, it is a language the speaker has learned). _Nowhere_ in the Bible is modern tongues-speech advocated or evidenced. ‘Tongues’ (read, *‘languages’* ) - the divine gift, is the God given ability to effortlessly learn to speak and be understood through real-language barriers. It is not xenoglossy, nor is it the self-created non-cognitive non-language utterance of modern tongues-speech.

Water baptism happens because someone has been saved. Water baptism doesn't save. The recent coronation happened because Charles is now the King. The coronation didn't make Charles the King. Charles became the King when his mother - Queen Elizabeth the Second - died. A coronation for William or George would be nonsense as neither of them are King.

Eph 4:4-5 says there is one baptism and that is water baptism. In Acts 2:38 it says, " repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins.." and that baptism is water baptism. How do we know it is water? Acts 10:47 tells us it is. It says," Can anyone forbid water? and he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus". In Mark 16:17 it says, " And these signs will accompany those who believe, in my name they will cast out demons, they will speak in new tongues, they will pick up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them, they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." Out of this list, they choose speaking in tongues, well lets see the rest. Anyone drink deadly poison? serpents? who will go to the children's hospital and heal all the sick little babies? I have no doubt the apostles would and could, it would confirm the word, Mark 16:20. Apparently they still believe the word needs confirming, so when will the little babies be healed? poison? serpent? will be waiting a very long time

I don't to cause you any doubt Natalie. These are had subjects in the Bible for sure. When it comes to this miraculous of speaking in tongues, we must look at all that the Bible teaches on this subject. In Acts 2, the apostles spoke in tongues and it is very clear that this miracle was speaking in another known language of their time. What made it a miracle is that these apostles were never taught these other languages. Yet, today when people claim this gift, it is some unknown, heavenly language that no one knows except God. This comes from what I believe to be a misunderstanding between Acts 2 and I Corinthians chapter 14. I believe that both texts are pointing to the same subject - known languages of this world. Not something unknown that no one can understand. Watch both of my videos and see if what I prove with scripture is correct. Let me know what you think. Then explain to me I Corinthians 13, where it says that the gift of tongues will cease. Thanks for the comments. @@natalieamberger2432

@@savingsoulsinthe21stcentur21Yeah, because the voices in my head are catchy songs and random Bob Newhart quotes I remember from TV, not some celestial dictator telling me to abuse my family.

Luke 22:17 " And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he said, " Take this, and DIVIDE IT AMONG YOURSELVES..." I also wonder how 3000 people in Acts 2 could drink from one cup and how many breads they had to break. If it is more than one bread, is it scriptural? Jesus also ate the passover before the LS, so why don't we do that also?

And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, *that the Gentiles by my mouth should HEAR the word of the gospel and believe* And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost even as he did unto us; And put *no difference between us and them* purifying their hearts by faith. {Acts 15:7-8}

Who are the Israel of God? There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. {Galatians 3:28-29} Wherefore remember, that ye being IN TIME PAST Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the COMMONWEALTH of ISRAEL, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: BUT now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh *by the blood of Christ* For he is our peace, who hath made both [Jew and Gentile] one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments [not the ten commandments] contained in ordinances; for to make in himself *of twain* ONE NEW MAN, so making peace; And that he might reconcile BOTH unto God in ONE BODY by the cross, *having slain the enmity thereby* And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but *fellowcitizens* with the saints, and of the household of God; [The commnwealth of Israel ... Jeshurun] {Ephesians 2:11-19} Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But *in every nation* he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. {Acts 10:34-35} Again... But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with God. {Romans 2:10-11} Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For *they are not all Israel* which are of Israel: *Neither because they are the seed of Abraham* are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but *the children of the promise* are counted for the seed. {Romans 9:6-8} Now we, [Galatians] brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. {Galatians 4:28-29} For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon *the Israel of God* {Galatians 6:15-16} And they [the Jew] also, *if they abide not still in unbelief* shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in *again* {Romans 11:23} For ye are all the children of God *by faith in Christ Jesus* For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. {Galatians 3:26-27}
