Shame derek mcgarraty never stuck with the Skoda it looked good in that livery and I think was effectively a works spec car

absolutely - was up there with the best produced shows on N.I television, such as shame its not longer made! I can still recall the year of a rally based on the tunes they used on RPM!

Unreal video, brilliant to see this celebs event from back in the day!!. Their should be more of them nowadays for spectators alone that can’t make it to stages like 😁 I’d assume there was some fair amount of money going for certain drivers to be there 🤑🤑🤔

These subaru’s look like non STI verion type RA’s . Really good car I used to have one handled amazing because of the light weight of 1180 kg wet

The rally fizzled out once Nesbitt retired because it was shaping up to be a fantastic scrap between him and Tapio. After that Tapio just cruised home as his biggest threats after Nesbitt dropped out McGarrity and Milner were not going all out as they were especially Milner interested in protecting their points leads in the British and Irish championships
