return artefacts to Egypt as they have been taken illegally from the country. egyptians are v poor so how can they have a voice against wealthy foreign archeologists /tourist? an obvious imbalance . state the obvious not cover it up. Egypt belongs to tbe egyptians NOT the outsiders however curious they may be.

Thank you from California =] that’s the best archeology seminar I’ve ever watched, bar none! Incredible work done on an amazing and fascinating site. I posted it on Twitter and will post the manuscripts after I’ve read them. Top notch work gentlemen 🌊🏄♂️🪷

I'm an archaeologist working in Tucson, Arizona, USA. Really enjoyed this presentation. We have worked at a somewhat similar site, las Capas, that is layers of field systems, houses, and pits. Floods frequently covered the place up, and then people rebuilt. We dug down 17 feet below the ground surface and never reached the bottom of the cultural layers.

If Boudica was last known to be in Verulamium why have you got her coming up Watling Street? And why the Tacitus-like exaggeration of likely numbers?! No proof of a a likely battlefield distribution of the shot. Prae Wood likely not to have been woodland at that time, and no real defile anywhere.

Thanks for the great webinar! Astonishing to think what might still be there, and so frustrating that so much has already been lost to quarrying. I'll definitely get the open access documents (thanks for that too!) Could you put up a link to the answers to the unanswered questions? Please keep us updated to your ongoing progress!😃

An excellent talk but the video ends abruptly, in midflow. It's just 33 minutes so i wonder if there is a more complete version - or second part? - to come. Please advise, and many thanks!

Great images. BUT I DON’T GIVE A FLYING F for the white colonialist’s stories. It’s as though they are given immense credit for a GREAT CULTURE when they are no more than secretaries taking notes, and sketch artists. I WANT TO HEAR ABOUT THE ANCIENT EGYPTIANS - their stories. Their art. Their lives.

I heard the Trust was in need of flint knappers? Is that true? Is there someone I could talk too? I do heritage flint work but also Knapp stoneage replica artifacts. I heard there's a national shortage of skilled workers in the ancient crafts and that you need teachers of these skills. Is this true?

Did Septimus Severus know about the disappearance of the LEG. IX HISPANA, possibly while setting up temporary camps in north east Scotland? There would have been expeditions launched to reconnoitre this wild, craggy and windswept region. Temporary forts appear to have been set up in Cawdar, Tain and Portmahomack. These would have been dangerous and inhospitable landscapes, difficult to reconnoitre - but easy to move around in for local Picts . There seems to have been an edict issued around 120 - 160, a "Condanatio Mori", which threw a veil over the fate of the IX Legion Hispana.
