Everyone is concerned about the way to draw… I see that you’re use drawing with a different type of bow. All shoulder and controlled. What in curious on is if the arrow is ok for the bow? Like to get information on the spine of it!

Honestly I don’t get any big hand shock on my metbow Ben. 91@28 Unless I am tripping I think in Armir’s review he noted that there was no hand shock on his as well.

@@thefatefulforce8887 it’s what I’m feeling. I’m a little surprised bc 9.5gpp shouldn’t be an issue. I am sick though, so I’m weaker rn than normal. But 2 bows at the same weight, the one with more mass will end up producing less shock. But I could be tripping too, I didn’t expect it to be that shocky, but again I’m under the weather so maybe it isn’t a fair comparison.

If you said 70 lb that’s way too much for you you should work your way up there, also the angle of your release🤯 Anyway, in my humble opinion be careful.

@@franciscolara438 it’s fine. I can shoot 115 with Asian thumb draw. The peak of the compound is unlike the Asian bows, but I made sure not to sky draw which was the most important thing

Nice shooting. I’m actually thinking of getting a blue curly maple for my next bow. Do you know if the fiberglass on it is Bearpaw? Amazon describes the material only as fiberglass, and I don’t want to get it if it’s made of the cheap china fiberglass.

The non-premium models are china glass, Black, oak,. The other options are bearpaw, thus more price. The curly maple is bear paw to my knowledge.

Yea I love my Metbow Turkish bow. It has a nice draw and feels really nice in the hand. I knew you had a natural long draw length but seeing u pull the bow to 28” and have it anchored in front of your ear is a massive eye opener. Meanwhile I have to draw past the ear to get the 28” 😅 Damn in short haha. How tall are you Ben?

I dont understand, why should 11GPP be a bad thing? An excessivly light arrow might damage a bow but not a slightly heavier. It's just that the arrow will be slower but harder hiting, ideal for hunters.

11 gpp for manchu bows is too light. most manchu bows minimum is about 15 gpp. for my yarha 2 manchu it likes 16-20 gpp yeah its crazy compared to modern recurves at like 10 gpp

@17yearoldwarbowarcher ok, I see the shape of the bow is very specific, it's definitely a different story to a modern laminated "horse" bow. I have the AF Archery SiCai, my first bow, and I made my own arrows, one set from wood and one from bamboo. I was aiming for 9.5 to 10.5 GPP.

I accidentally hit stop record button 😅 he is saying that when the body twists into alignment, he has yet to see them draw 100+lbs bows. You can do it with lighter bows. It’s not “wrong” per se, but it’s not the optimal.

@@georgepats1168 yes I keep them strung. A longbow should be fine to leave strung as well. If it’s all natural materials then it might lose a pound or two, but still okay.
