No when sharpening. When you reach the tip of the knife you DONT want to follow all the way through with the stones. You want to stop in the MIDDLE of the stone, why? So you do not roll the tip.

The small size makes it fit perfectly in that small pocket that's on every pair of jeans.

I've used a tenacious for over ten years. It's big, comfortable, the centering is a bit off but overall it's very much worth the price. (I don't know why he says it's not comfortable?)

Definitely not the best budget fixed blade but best mid-budget for sure.

I almost bought one of these, because it is a good knife. But then I didn't because it's a Gerber. Their multitools are good but when it comes to knives that have Gerber written on them I get psychologically conflicted. I'm not dissing them, I'm trying to be constructive. I think they're in a difficult market position as far as the "brand" is concerned. They should show the world what they can do and release an entire range of really good knives with premium materials and still keep making the cheap stuff. I think it would work out really well for them because clearly they can do it!

I have an 06 fast as a random car knife, even though I'm usually carrying multiple better knives. It's there because it has been for about fifteen years. Other than that I have no use for gerber and they probably shouldn't be considered as serious a knife company as even sog or kershaw. Their role is mediocre to decent entry level knives, kershaw even having a couple nice ones. Gerber however offers the paraframe, camping supplies and bunch of random stuff.

No good knife att all. I had one and send it back. I had the fastball one hour on me an lost a screw from the pocket clip and the other screw was loose but just kept the clip not falling off. The blade was not centered and the edge was not even on both sides. Wrote a mail to Gerber and no response. The hardware store i ordered the knife told me to buy a new screw somewhere.....😡I send it back and got my money back. Gerber should have used Loctite to secure the screws and check the edge more often. Maybe others have no issues but i do not recommend the Fastball.

This looks like a Civivi Praxis (with a slightly modified handle). I understand that nowadays it's hard to create a knife design that wouldn't resemble any other knife, but this blade looks like a 1:1 Praxis knockoff to me.
