I would love the bolt with just the fin. The crossbar lock makes it too clutched

Wouldn't go as far as "tactical" for the nanner with absolutely no way to prevent sliding up the blade..zero guard or anything that acts as one. As one whose self defense is is part of my edp..every day preparedness.,i would much rather have a guard of sorts and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Didn't pay any attention to Cold Steel until last year (2024). Bought a tanto in October and I was surprised at how much I loved it. Fact is, from a zero, it shot all the way up to number one in my personal ranking of favorite folders. The next month, I purchased the spear point version. I still love my Spyderco Military 2 but if I had to pick only one knife in my collection, it would be my Recon 1 tanto.

yep i just got one. Huge burrs on one side of the blade. Left over black coating on the other side. Cuts like a butter knife. I suk at sharpening so this knife is basically useless!

Just got mine today. I have to say I was not expecting much for $11.19. The knife seems well made and has no blade wobble at all. Unfortunately that's where the good news ends. Because I have to say the edge on this knife right out of the box is a JOKE! Mine had heavy burrs on one side of edge and some left over black coating on the other side. I ran it through my cheap sharpener and then hit it with the strop. Edge is better but still nowhere near as good as EVERY OTHER KNIFE I OWN. Don't buy this knife unless you are good at sharpening.
