Good video, but you missed out Bara Menyn, organic sourdough bread, lots of yummy bread-based treats and fantastic croissants.

Just discovered that you and Ian made these videos (I do subscribe to the main channel which is great) and just wanted to say thankyou for sharing your knowledge on Wales. I've visited many times from the Midlands but you've definitely told me things I didn't know! All the best to you both 👍

I am English and first visited Llangrannog in August 1961 - the girl that I loved (who was Welsh) drove me there in her Dads´s car and we sat on the beach which was considerably less crowded than today - in fact we were the only ones on it! I will NEVER forget Llangrannog or the wonderful lady who introduced me to the place - regretably our relationship did not work out - but I still remember them both with great affection.

We used to toddle over to Llangrannog on Boxing Day for a christmas pudding ice-cream on the beach. That was over 15 years ago tho, so it's probably different these days.

Very impressed with all your pronunciation. Have a look for the history of a very famous Welsh poet by the name of Dic Jones. A self taught farmer who lived a stone's throw from Cwmtydi.

Nice place, passed through in 60s. But being today in 2024, if townies and cityites see it, the place will be swamped and ruined.

Try parking there, you’ll get a ticket. The biggest rip off parking in west Wales. Known very well by the locals but not by visitors, so beware!!!!

80 years ago today... A Vickers Wellington bomber took off from RAF Peplow in Shropshire on 23 August 1944 for night training but was diverted to the airfield at Aberporth after the engines stopped working. At 11.50pm the pilot attempted to land on the flat expanse of Argoed meadow, but the plane continued across the meadow and into the river Teifi, crashing into the opposite bank. One of the airmen who died was a Norwegian. During the war, thousands of Norwegians escaped German occupation of their homeland and found their way to Britain. Many trained to become pilots and aircrew and flew alongside the Allies in the Royal Air Force under the badge of the Royal Norwegian Air Force. Two of the six crew members survived the crash: radio operator Sgt John (Johnnie) Robertshaw and rear gunner Sgt Howard Hawkins. Both attended a memorial ceremony in Cenarth in 1994, 50 years after the accident. The airmen who died are commemorated by a plaque at the village’s war memorial.

Aberaeron was planned until Ceredigion County Council took control of planning. The result is Colditz, an estate down by the promenade and the Mosque, which is officially called Penmorfa, formerly part of Pengarreg farm, the yard of which is now a retail centre. The Mosque is in fact the home of Ceredigion County Council and their planning department which is notorious nationwide for its horrendous planning decisions [including the mosque itself] but mainly for allowing cheap generic bungalows to be built willy nilly all over the county and the old brutalist water board building which is now our integrated health centre which does bugger-all integration and has itself gained a terrible reputation since moving there. It’s no longer fit for purpose. Not the building but the doctor’s practice.
