this is so interesting as swans tend to start chasing their children away when they lose the grey/brown feathers, so I wonder if the parents ever got that instinct or if they see it as a baby forever :)

I'm sure the name Barafundle comes from Bara - meaning bread and a corruption of fynydd - meaning mountain. Little mountain of bread . Beautiful beach

OMG !! At around 6: 30 ~ what an incredible view like I've only seen in movies !!! WOW !!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for this view !!! Where did you get off ( your car or bus ) & how much did you walk to get there !!? I am planning to visit there when I'll be in Wales with mom in the near future ,but mom can't walk much anymore !! If this was 5 years ago ,she could !! Shame !! She was walking much faster than me even !! So ,I am afraid we can go that far . We'll be taking coastal buses . @@fish8887 You may well be right. I've seen a Mute/Black Swan hybrid that had most of the characteristics of the Mute Swan and I've seen some that have more Black Swan characteristics. So I don't agree that it is set as to how a hybrid will look.

@@stefanoricci1602 false information A Female Canadian goose and a male trumpeter swan now have 10 young together over the past five years in Canada. So that is a hybrid

This is the ONLY Video Recording In Existence, which I have been searching for 15 years now, that shows what a swoose looks like and how it lives in its environment. Hi no sorry, once Lockdown is over I’m definitely going to see if I can find it again. It was so eye catching, I didn’t know what it could be at first. Was just one of those rare finds. ❤️

I believe this is the West Green House Gardens swoose simply based on the rarity of a Canada goose x mute swan hybrid. You can find some pictures by searching for that term.

Yes this is exactly where I spotted this 🤩 This is the post where I learnt about the parentage facebook.com/WestGreenHouseGardens/photos/did-you-know-we-have-a-swoose-at-west-green-house-gardens-its-a-bird-born-to-a-m/2857620424353282/ I actually went back last weekend. All the geese had gone including the Swoose but the swan was still there. Hopefully it will come back again.

The only thing is black swans still have white wingtips so maybe it is half goose

Black swans’ necks are much longer and their body shape resembles a cone. The hybrid’s body shape matches the canadian goose identically.
