@FollowingFreedom2 ай бұрын
@@adambollenback6371 a cover assist to lift it on and off would help if you have room for it. However I personally have not found it that heavy. After you have it awhile it gets heavy as it absorbs the steam. You probably don’t need to lift right away but would be helpful as the cover gets older and weighted down

Ya I already put the air bags on. I have a 23 ft trailer now that is 4500lbs gvw, no weight distribution hitch or sway control. I feel pretty comfortable with it maybe could use a sway bar. But I think I am just going to jump up to the bigger trailer. Great getting your opinion on it. Thank you safe travels.
@Ricky-eo5ym3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much. I am thinking of buying a 30 ft with 680lbs on the hitch dry weight of 5900lbs gvw of 7200lbs . I have a 1500 Ram, 5.7 hemi 3:21gears also have some really good timber grove air bags. I am going to use a 4 point sway control equalizer hitch. I am just trying to get a feel for what other people think that have towed a large RV. I really appreciate the response.
@FollowingFreedom3 ай бұрын
@@Ricky-eo5ym that sounds very identical to what I have. The air bags made a huge difference. The tongue weight will probably jump close to 1000lbs when camper is loaded. If your hitch has a sway control bar I found that more important than weight distribution. Especially if you get the airbags (they are a fairly easy install)
@Ricky-eo5ym3 ай бұрын
What is the model of your travel trailer? Also, what is your tongue weight dry? Thanks in advance.
@FollowingFreedom3 ай бұрын
@@Ricky-eo5ym 2022 alpha wolf 26dbhl I think are the letters. It’s about 6500 dry 7500 loaded with our things I think. I believe I went over the actual weight on ticket at end of this video. Tongue weight is probably around 800 pounds. We have a 3/4 ton now but half ton did the job especially if you are not full time traveling. I will always suggest air lift airbags to add to your truck makes a huge difference

Yes depending on how strong the axle is. It’s not that heavy but I have used some small trailers that were to small. I mainly just towed it around property though so don’t have long hauling experience with it.

Just wondering if you guys still love it, we’re thinking of getting one next year!
@FollowingFreedom7 ай бұрын
Yes we have really enjoyed it, it’s a good size that will allow you to visit most all national parks no issue and still gives you some decent room on the rainy days. The construction being aluminum side walls is good for long term if you keep it a long time. All campers have issues but overall we are happy with our selection and plan to keep it until we go full time then we may possibly get something bigger. Thanks for watching!

Not quite sure what the manual says, if anything at all, but the turn table is about the worse system to go south on an owner due to difficulty in access for repair and cost/availability of parts. Hope the exposed gears on the underside of the base are getting a thorough rinse down as well as another shot of grease after swims in the creek.
@FollowingFreedom7 ай бұрын
I have never seen the manual for this thing but I always expect this thing to quit anytime and not last. It’s kind of a throwaway tractor at its build quality and price. It has done a great job taking the abuse so far though
