*I lost the instructions and needed to know how to adjust the hight of the safety knob, due to safety reasons I didn't want to figure it out my self. I search a lot in KZbin and found nothing, but in this video is where I found everything about the WEN BAND SAW. Excelent product review*
@michaelcsweeney8435Ай бұрын
Appreciate the "used" system review and realistic pro-con viewpoint. You may wish to get that dust collector hooked up if you haven't already. It would probably help reduce that gumming up of your adjustment knob and crap getting in the viewport window easily. Also, don't sweat whether you ran a demo piece through it. Yes, it may be good content, but if others are seriously looking at a system then they can easily find other reviews that show that.

FYI a speed square is not a "framing square". a framing square can do things from a right angle to calculating board footage and many, many things in between.

I did not realize I called it a framing square. lol Must’ve had a framing square on my mind for some reason. But you are correct, a speed square is not a framing square.

I appreciate the fact that you always provide thorough info AND you can be trusted. Thanks Man! Wish I had the funds...although I did find the Bosch Trim Router on sale at Lowe's one day. It's superb and so glad I splurged (for me). How does Craftsman compare in terms of versatility, durability, functionality to other brands? I usually skip them, but wonder if their credibility is returning. I notice they are occupying a lot of shelf and aisle space at Lowe's over the past year.

I love my Craftsman tools! Not only do I use them in my shop, but I’ve done several construction jobs with them with no problems at all. I also have a Craftsman weedeater that I love. The only downside to them is certain tools drain a battery but that can be said about any brand.

I like your jig that sits on top of the fence. Too many people just wing it. One thing I would do different, I'd clamp from behind rather than at the front. I'm paranoid about clamps potentially shaking loose and falling on the blade. Since this is a product for the store, where is your store?

Nice job. The only problem with making bird houses is there needs to be some space between the side walls and the roof section so to let the extreme heat out. This causes a lot of baby bird deaths due to the high heat. Holes can also be drilled along the front and rear sections along the roof lines. Thanks again for an informative video. Keep up the good work

I appreciate your experience in dealing with pricing. I have discovered that here in the Memphis area, the Big Box stores sell damaged and otherwise not-able-to-sell wood at up to a 70% discount. A few of the stores know me well enough to sometimes give me stuff that they'll never be able to pass on. I can usually find a great percentage of such product to be useful for my projects, so I can make some things at very little cost. My goal is to be able to bless people with the work of my hands by not only investing my skills, labor and time, but also my heart. You have been such a great inspiration to that end!

The white birdfeeder what kind of wood is that and what’s the dimensions? I’m gonna make that one and then ship it to my niece and nephew because they’re two and four years old and they could paint it. I think they’d be pretty cool thanks looks like it came out pretty good. I don’t have a workshop like you no air compressor nothing like that so I would have to get some screws, drill, holes and all the positions where you used the air nailer I’m thinking maybe I’ll pre-drill the holes and send some screws along that way the kids could act like to put it together with the help with their mom. Thanks.

Points to think about 1.Hanging will spin in the wind 2. Include drainage holes 3 on the inside of the front panel fix some twigs to make easier egress for the fledgling chicks.4 annual clearance of debris needs a removable panel for easy cleaning. 5 coat of linseed oil to protect the wood.

Why didn’t you put a small perch near the opening for the birds to make it easier for them to enter?
@Birgecustomwoodwork Жыл бұрын
some birds need a small perch and some do not. depends on the type of bird you are trying the attract.
@mokedokie3 күн бұрын
Never put a perch on a bird box it allows predators to easily reach in and grab eggs or chicks. Instead cut 3 shallow kerf cuts below the access hole, outside for the adults to easily hang on and inside for the chicks to crawl up and out when they fledge.
