Stop putting the blame on Dawayne Bailey, that seems about as likely as a person with a bull ring being a pastor. This is the most heinous way to cover up the ridiculous reason they got rid of him, she never once said his name

She sounds like a nut job, IMHO. What was the purpose of this talk? She jumps from one topic to the next. She refers to "the bandmate". Hell, if she was underage at the time, where the hell were the parents to allow ANY older guy around her? If what she is referring to is true on even a small level, then to Walt- What the hell were YOU thinking? There are 2 sides of the story. This chick seems to want & need attention. She didn't have to mention her dad & she didn't have to mention Chicago. It didn't help her story, but then again, what was her purpose of her talk? I got nothing out of this except bad mouthing someone, making her dad look like an neglectful father and making herself look f'd up. Sorry, not sorry.

I’m so moved by Felicia’s testimonial about this experience. I prefer not to judge the other parties in this. My sense is that she had to struggle to meet the challenge of a life changing situation. It looks like she found peace and applying herself to teach others and sharing her faith.
@carljacobson71563 жыл бұрын
First, it was a stupid move for a guy that much older, to be dating his band-mate's teenage daughter. Second, why didn't Water Parazaider step in and put an end to the relationship before it got serious? Third, Felecia Parazaider says that she believed. for years, that she was in love at the time, but now recognizes that the relationship was Toxic and self-destructive - was she just the pure innocent victim or did she engage in toxic, violent, destructive behavior as well? Fourth, What's DaWayne Bailey's stance on this? Was he just pure Evil or a dumb, immature goofball? Dysfunction City.

Jonna, I'm a therapist, and I do believe there is an answer to your misanthropy. Sure, affirmations are a part of that...but behind that is a deeper transformation, which is about acknowledging the evil that exists but using that righteous anger to fuel your dedication to fighting it. In the meantime, we can learn to love and accept ourselves, even as we strive for our "Great Dreams," finally believing that in every moment, no matter what, we ARE good enough. Beautifully, you seem to have come to the same conclusion at the end of your story. Just wanted to let you know that all therapists aren't bad. ;) Neither are all psychics.

Might also explain why the band opted to omit the song Get on This (written by Felicia Parazaider, Dawayne Bailey and James Pankow in 1993) from the eventual 2008 release of Stone of Sisyphus. That being said, this is her side of the story. We've never really heard Dawayne Bailey's. But it does appear that his relationship with her led to him being ousted from the band (Bruce Gaitsch, who for a brief while replaced Bailey, said as much in a 2011 interview).

What a mind she has within her. It would have been simple and easy to surrender to the numbness of drugs and resignation to fate, but thankfully, she rose above it and from the awakening sprung a mind that is vibrant and forceful. I will say this as much as we can blame Dwayne Bailey for the terror that far out shown that of the violence of the middle east for this girl, I must blame a man I admired very much and thought that above the sterotypical fault lines of sex, drugs and rock and roll this man was the essence of a family man; I now see he was an abject failure at fatherhood, and marriage and worse, he failed in a larger sense as a human, for to let his daughter endure her pain. Walt you made a lot of money, but was it worth the pain your family felt; somehow I will never see Chicago in the same light again that I once did. Felicia my best to you, may the pace you rush to enjoin, be one that overshadows the pain you once endured.
