Im so glad you made this video 😂. As an owner of a 2010 civic lx with a 119,000 miles on it, i agree whole heartedly with you friend. Some people nowadays have an absolute fetish with brand new cars. And i mean its cool, but if you know about cars, it just boggles your mind. Its funny, when I bought this civic from the original owner. It was at 85,000 miles. He actually was honest and was like “you know i just want to get rid of it cause its inching its way to 100,000 and i just know i wonnt be abled to keep up with repairs and stuff”. Me as a nice gentleman i was going to laugh but i just nodded my head and was like “yeah buddy i get it, ill buy it cash today man no prob”. But he sold it to me, because it was at almost 100k miles. Just let that sink in.. fast forward now, car runs like a charm. I replaced all the coolant hoses myself just cause he had the engine bay so dirty and all the hoses looked nasty. So did a drain, refill of honda type 2 coolant. Replaced all hoses myself and did the thermostat also while it was accessible. Did a brand new oil change. Drained and refilled transmission fluid 6 times, just to get absolutely all of the old garbage out and have fresh trans fluid in it. Did all the brake fluid as well. Then i purged the entire power steering line pump and refilled that with honda power steering fluid. And then I decided to do the spark plugs also just cause! Thing runs like an absolute charm. Im talking, you would literally think its a brand new car. I got it up to 119,000 now and got absolutely no lights on in the dash. Engine has no codes. Runs like its brand new. And its going to stay that way also. Since I legitimately know how to fix anything on a car, i am planning to keep this car forever. My dad also had a yukon denali with 458,981 he told me to tell you. Lol original trans and engine. Just regular maintenance, and never pulling off without warming it up every morning. Although most people disagree that warming an engine up helps (which they are a fool)

Right now my only car is a 2023 GR Carolla Circuit Edition and personally, I was expecting more, it came with a lifetime powertrain warranty which would feel better if I didn't feel like I was waiting for the car to throw me back in my seat more the my 2015 Subaru WRX did before I switched to the GR Carolla. I'm actually planning on getting a different vehicle soon, I really like the look of the V1 370Z NISMO whereas I used to like the V2 370Z NISMO but live in Iowa I've never seen a V1 370Z NISMO and in my opinion, the V1 looks more aggressive and the V2 everything is the same from the rims but I'm sure the Recaro seats probably feel slightly better but I've never sat in either vehicle so I'm not sure if I should go off of a good aftermarket seat company. I've considered Mustangs, Camaros, and Challengers but all those would need to be a V8 that's extremely reliable as a daily driver and I know some might get mid-20 MPG on the highway but the mark 5 Camaro ZL1 I get 19 MPG on the highway and I've read the Challenger is built to go 300,000+ miles which is great but I've heard the Nismo 370Z will do more but hopefully I'll be driving a different vehicle by next week where I'll be satisfied with paying my monthly loan where I feel I made a great decision.

I have a 2007 Honda Civic EX coupe with 220,000 miles and I have zero doubt that it will start every time I need to drive it and it will get me to where I need to be in relative comfort and to me it’s still stylish! I had a 2001 Honda Accord coupe until a deer took it out last year and I would still be driving it today had it not be totaled! My wife drives a 2012 Honda Accord and I don’t have any plans to ever get rid of these fantastic Hondas! They were made before CVT transmissions and direct injection and turbos were taking over and they are so much more reliable and less costly to operate! I can do all my own maintenance and had just did the timing belt and all necessary parts on my 2001 Accord just months before it was totaled! I know these aren’t quite as old as the vehicles being mentioned in the video, but they are still older, reliable cars that were made during some of the best years for Japanese automakers! I splurged this year on a 2024 ND3 Miata Club because I wanted to get one of the best drivers cars still made today, it’s still built in Japan and it’s still a 6 speed manual with a low tech reliable no turbo engine that will last for a very long time and it still feels like an old school convertible from long ago!

Restriction was from 8 pm to 6am required a licensed driver 25 Y/O or older be present in the vehicle. In winter it was 6pm to 6am. I've owned a 2007 Gen 7 Accord six cylinder coupe with a 6 speed manual transmission since new. Factory trim is fake carbon fiber, but pretty realistic looking. What I don't like has mostly everything to do with FWD. The 07 puts out nearly 250hp and the wheel hop off the line is annoying, especially in the rain. Mine came with hard Michelin tires optimized for wear and gas mileage. Pirelli P7's and Bridgestone Potenzas have tamed this a little. Also, there is a fair amount of torque steer on hard acceleration. Some of the four cylinder Gen 7 cars didn't even come with a rear stabilizer bar. The six cylinder cars came with the same front and rear bars as the fours but the engine and battery add weight to the front which makes for pronounced oversteer that really detracts from the handling. I got an Acura rear bar which is much thicker than the original and reduces oversteer significantly. The bar and bushings are a direct replacement with no modifications. Other than that, the car has been very reliable and fun. Only big expense was a clutch replacement. Engine and transmission are on a subframe and must be lowered before they can be separated. Also flywheel is dual mass and should be replaced and not machined. I believe it is 14 hours of labor and requires a special tool or at least a mechanic who knows what they are doing to preset the self adjuster.
