Thanks Patrick. Very climatic shots. How satisfied are you with this Tamron lens? I'm thinking about getting it for Sony A6400 (no ibis). For all-around photo and video use. Other two options I'm considering are Sony 70-350 telephoto, and Sony 35mm 1.8 oss prime. Already have two Sigma primes, which are brilliant but not stabilised. If you could share your experience with some of these lenses, that would be greatly appreciated.

@@DFD1 I really think in terms of an all around lens, the Tamron is in my opinion the #1. It's versatility for photo and video is amazing. Image quality is also very good, I get pretty sharp, pleasing photos and videos. The vibration control (VC) of the Tamron would definitely help with the no ibis of the a6400. I owned the 70-350 for about a year, I ended up having to sell it for financial reasons. But I loved it when I had it, I still have a couple videos of me using it. It's super sharp with great autofocus. It was a lot of fun to shoot with! Definitely got me into more bird and wildlife! I'd say if you are looking for a telephoto, I'd opt to spend a little more and get the Sigma 100-400. It's what I have now and I really love it. You get a little more reach with still very comparable image quality!

@@PatrickS. Thanks a lot! The Tamron 17-70 seems like the most sensible option. That telephoto zooms are probably much more fun to play with though 😌 Need to have a look at that Sigma 100-400. Thanks for the tip!

@@DFD1 Thankyou, I've owned it for just over 2 years now and I still get excited to take it out. It really is my favorite lens. I just did a lot of traveling and took it with me everywhere, it allows me to get such a diverse arrangement of photos cause the 17-70 focal length just has so much to offer. Even did some night sky photography and this lens performed very well, will show those in a future video. I'm very satisfied with it's performance in both photo and video. If you are looking for one versatile lens to live on your Sony camera, the Tamron is definitely the one!

@@jenrimanfalang1782 Yes you can get some pretty smooth handheld footage with the fx30 and this lens. Even when walking, if you have active stabilization on it is surprisingly smooth!

Nice pictures! I am looking to buy my first camera and pair it with the sigma 30mm 1.4 but i don’t know if i should get the a6300 or the a6000 i would only use it for car photography. What is your opinion?

@@qvs787 it's really good, have any issues with it on the a6000, I really think the 17-70 is one of the greatest lenses for the Sony APSC system!

@@asaisdagoat Mainly just the lens and camera combination. Polarizer only affects the amount of reflection on the cars themselves, which definitely helps achieve the look.

Those are two different lenses. It clearly depends on what you want to shoot. If you want a zoom lens 55-210 is okay, but i would go for the 70 350. for 50mm Prime, obviously the sigma 1.4 dc dn, you could also buy a samyang. For just 85 bucks you can also get a 7artisan 1.8 which is manual but a good budget lens
