Islam is the only true and complete religion, providing an unaltered, divinely revealed guide to life in the form of the Quran. In contrast, Christianity is riddled with contradictions within its texts, and the multiplicity of versions of the Bible across its sects makes it increasingly difficult for followers to discern truth from falsehood. For example, the Catholic Bible contains 73 books (46 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament), the Protestant Bible has 66 books (39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament), and the Eastern Orthodox Bible includes additional texts such as the Prayer of Manasseh and 1 Esdras, amounting to 79 books. The diversity of scriptures reflects a lack of consistency and raises the question: how can these differing versions all claim to represent the same truth? Contradictions in the Bible Christianity is further plagued by internal contradictions. For example: Creation Story Genesis 1:26-27 states humans were created after animals. Genesis 2:7, 19 contradicts this by stating humans were created before animals. The Death of Judas Matthew 27:5 says Judas hanged himself. Acts 1:18 says Judas fell headlong, and his body burst open. These contradictions highlight the inconsistencies within the Bible, making it challenging for believers to find clarity and unity in their faith. Moreover, fabricated stories such as John 7:53-8:11 (the story of the adulterous woman) were later additions, not found in the earliest manuscripts. This raises the critical question: if parts of the Bible are forged, how can its integrity be trusted? Even the early Christians could not agree on Jesus’ nature. Some saw him as a prophet and a servant of God (e.g., Acts 3:13), while others began to elevate him to divine status. This divergence in beliefs shows that the truth was neither unified nor clear, leading to the distortions we see today. Christianity and Genocide Christianity also supports acts of genocide in its scriptures, something Islam vehemently opposes. For instance: Deuteronomy 7:1-2 commands the Israelites to "destroy" the nations they conquer, leaving none alive. Numbers 31:17-18 orders the killing of all men and women, sparing only young girls. Islam, on the other hand, forbids the killing of innocents. The Quran states: Quran 5:32 - "Whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land-it is as if he had slain mankind entirely." Respect for Parents Islam elevates the status of parents, emphasizing their importance and commanding kindness and respect toward them: Quran 17:23-24 - "And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. Say not to them [so much as], 'uff,' and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word." In contrast, Christianity often falls short in this regard. Jesus is recorded in the Bible as saying: Luke 14:26 - "If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters-yes, even their own life-such a person cannot be my disciple." This verse, interpreted literally, undermines familial bonds rather than strengthening them. Warning Against Forgetting Allah The Quran provides a clear warning about the consequences of turning away from Allah: Quran 59:19 - "And be not like those who forgot Allah, so He made them forget themselves. Those are the defiantly disobedient." Forgetting Allah leads to a life of spiritual emptiness and depression, as many people today experience when they prioritize worldly desires over divine guidance. Islam offers peace of mind, purpose, and fulfillment for those who sincerely seek the truth. The Way Forward Based on these facts, it is clear that Islam provides consistency, clarity, and divine truth, while Christianity is mired in contradictions, fabricated stories, and a fragmented scripture. People of intellect and sincere hearts should not allow their desires to blind them to the truth. Instead, they must seek the truth with humility and open hearts. As the Quran reminds us, "Truth has come, and falsehood has vanished. Surely falsehood is bound to vanish" (Quran 17:81). Let us all seek the truth and follow it wholeheartedly, for truth alone will set us free. Only by aligning ourselves with divine guidance can we achieve peace in this life and the next
