The intersection at the beginning is W. Seminary and Frazier. My grandparents lived a block and half north on Frazier. In the late 70’s they called Woodie Woods plumbing for a new water heater. Evidently all of his guys were busy. So the Mayor of Fort Worth got in his truck and installed my grandparents water heater.

Out in Anaheim California where i grew up we'd get dropped off by my mom at the mall when i was 13 and my sister was 15 back in 1989. Nobody said anything to us .

Too bad this mall didn't have cameras and a large security force patrolling the parking lot on Dec. 23, 1974 when 3 girls vanished from this mall which was then known as Seminary South.

@@oladeebiazazi4538 No, they have never been found. They are known as the Fort Worth Trio. Surviving family members are still trying to find out what happened to them.

I can only imagine how much hell was going on between a brother and a sister, where the brother was shooting up his sisters dolls. My mom told me her brother used to blow up her Barbie’s with firecrackers in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s 😂

I'm 71 years old at Christmas 2024. My grandparents lived just across the railroad tracks to the West of Katy Lake. I vaguely remember the lake but I really remember Seminary South shopping center very well. My parents shopped there and used to take the family to the El Chico restaurant. As I became a teenager I remember the underground bowling alley at Seminary South. My grandparents used to drink coffee at the lunch counter in G.C.Murphy variety store. I remember circa 1963 watching the filming of a national TV commercial for Sears with Ed Reimer by the fountain at the West entrance of the store. As a high school junior I remember taking my girlfriend to the movies at the cinema near the northwest corner of the mall parking lot. After college and the death of my grandparents I remember coming back to Ft Worth to visit my family and I couldn't believe how Seminary South had declined. Several years later I remember my late mom telling me it was being revived as La Grand Plaza. Lots of good memories of the 1960s and '70s at Seminary South when it was at its peak.

That's the accent broadcasters used on TV. Regular people in Fort Worth would've spoken with a much different accent.

I was 13 that year,I forgot what savages we were back then🤪. Never been to Texas but I’m sure it was no different from anywhere else in the country(other than things that are exclusively Texan obviously)
