The main thing that was better in 2022 was the community. Now its a fucking mess

this is a long comment. if you want to hear me ramble, go ahead i first started playing slap battles around summer 2022 (maybe around the fort update) and the game was not as hectic at all for me. people would occasionally equip gloves like god's hand, tableflip, defense, baller, fort, shield etc... i was able to handle it (the community was a lot nicer too) i stopped playing it a few weeks later and returned after the TEB bossfight released. i started actively playing since the hitman glove update. i made new friends around that time and we would just help each other out with gloves and do some silly things however that's when i noticed some changes for starters, people started using OP gloves which made the game unfair, the badge obtainments were just headache inducing, the community became a LOT more toxic, hackers started plaguing the game (i saw little to no hackers before) and the game just...slowly lost its touch the badge obtainments for gloves before felt classic (despite the confusing and nonsensical methods) and just matched sb, but they started becoming difficult for me, summer 2022 - June 2023 were the funnest times for sb. after that, it went all the way downhill. cut to now. crates, slap effects, toxic people, hackers, unfair badge obtainments, a plethora of gloves which at first glance will give you a headache, OP gloves that deserve no place in the slap costing section (cough - Parry - cough), sweats. the game is not in a good state. while i see the devs are trying to make the game appealing to people and make changes the community has been requesting for a long time...uhhh there is a lot more i could say, but i'll keep it like this for now

My biggest memory is a lot such as i got rob with my friends when i meeted my new friends making videos getting spy with my friend getting nah I'd win getting head hunter and i noticed sb isn't about loneliness it's about making teamwork and having fun get so as somebody who has 900k i recommended you don't get gloves by yourself get them by teamwork bc you have a way more fun experience doing it :)

I started playing slap battles the month it came out and k can say, the new version is alot better because of all the references like jjk and stuff.

I want a glove that makes you use recall to get to OG slap battles then get 100 slaps or less

Because the older one was simpler. it had original and actual decent updates. But the newer slap battles is very different and is nothing like the old slap battles. The tournament changed, there are bossfights, new gui, repetitive glove obtainments, etc. I'm not saying I don't like the new things, I'm just not a big fan of change. Now that tencell's devs work on updates instead of him, the humor of the game is kind of taken away.

As a player whos playing for almost 4 years now, its not about nostalgia its about how funny and good the game was it was made for fun it was too obvious but now its just always with this rng system and stuff like that. Sb isnt a silly slapping game anymore, its tencell's job (he said this in an interview since he dropped out of school for sb) its just a perfection based game and they add even more robux based stuff idc if it adds progression or not its not good. Thats why i prefer old sb, a game was made for fun instead of a whole job to tencell.
