Thanks for sharing your content. Your videos have been helpful. Is clip studio your go to/favorite? I have a samsung 8 ultra tablet and trying to figure out the best pption for android. Seems majority favors ipad. I'd prefer to stay with samsung. We have a huion and we have a adobe creative cloud but I don't want to use a desktop. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

… I know it’s not equivalent but artists actually do ’steal’ each other’s stuff. It’s just called learning instead. Yet some artists picture bashing which is what AI is doing semi.

You said the problem yourself. krita is a professional program. The others like clip studio paint or procreate are toys in comparison. I used both Clip and Procreate. And both, but especially Procreate, its software helps the user even if you set the help parameter to zero. Practically even those who are not capable of making a straight line or a circle will do a good job. Krita takes some time to learn, but once you learn it, it's the best painting program I've ever seen. There is no comparison.

iPad Pro also has Artstudio pro, art 4 and a couple more but the first 2 I mentioned are awesome I have both tab s7 plus and pro 11 inch now I’m upgrading I’m looking for just 1 tablet and the 14inch is very tempting the space for drawing must feel great. Also no one mentions Apple Pencil is trash compared to spen not even close I bought all kind of accessories and it still sucks balls that’s also another reason I’m might just stick with Samsung.

Thanks so much for the video! Sounds like Wacom One is the best pen, maybe paired with a textured screen protector, depending on what feel you like. Really seems like the most versatile pen just based off that. This was the best video I found on pen reviews! Do you have any more recommendations?

Expand the layers panel by swiping to the left, then you will see 4 symbols including the group layers one (which looks like a folder symbol)

I've used a titanium nib on my normal S-Pen along with a paper matte screen protector made from PET plastic, and over the course of one school year I've noticed that the wear is the other way around, with the titanium wearing down the screen protector until it became smoother and less textured. I'm going to try a matte screen protector made from glass next year, but it just says it's matte and not paper-like, so I'm not sure if that'll work as well.

This is exactly why I have been posting less and less on social media. At this point, I believe it has become as if parasites are feeding on our work. We create content for them for free and the all-mighty algorithm decides whether it's relevant or not. If art stops being spontaneous it is no longer art, it will become just superficial content.

@@HampArt yeah, I am aware of that. It is really messed up! Nowadays we don’t even get to keep the rights to our own work. Because one thing is an artist use references from life and other artists’ work and than put their own identity to create something new. Other completely different is when a machine use billions of images to generate something in a few seconds. It’s not a fair competition at all and we should have the right to not help those machines at very least.

Ohh yeah i started using krita yesterday morning and cause im headstrong i refuse to sit down and read through the user manual so i spent a good hour, hour and a half trying to figure out how to select an eye copy and paste and flip and size correctly. I still don't think i did it right, caus ei just used the transform to to flip but I'm sure theres a much easier way

Despite all the Apple shenanigans I decided to give it a shot to the iPad because of the ever so popular Procreate. 3 months in and I can safely say that Procreate is not much of a big deal as Infinite Painter has given me a better experience and setting up CSP's UI in such a way makes it really comfy to work on. So far my biggest gripe has been with the apple pencil, that thing hurts my fingers no joke. The stylus is the heaviest (whopping 20g+ for the gen2) from the vast majority of styluses available in the market and it's so thin. Using a silicone grip adds some more weight to it and it becomes really tiring to use it for longer than 1 hour. Really not the best purchase I have done this year lol

Really that's interesting....I will say that Infinite Painter is very good

@@HampArt The 3 main reasons why I prefer IF over Procreate are the gestures for changing the brush size, how the built-in canvas textures interact with the brushes and how intuitive it is to config the brush settings with the graphs. Of course, for heavy duty works CSP will always remain the king for me. Their simple mode is lacking, but after digging a bit deeper on the studio mode I learnt more about the commands bar, selection menu bar (the bar that apppears when selecting something with laso for example), pop-up menus, edge keyboard and quick access. With the help of those features I was able to fully optimize the UI and leave only the vertical tool bar and commands bar. I recommend to check that out 👍

I'm going to tell you about a device that I've had for 15 years that works great, is still available new for the same price it sold for originally, and is incredibly customizeable. It's called the Shuttle Pro V2, is made by Contour Design (they make also make keyboards and mice) and it sells for $99. It's a USB device--works on Windows or Mac. Still corded, sorry to say, but it's a fantastic tool. Rather than handheld, it's designed to be placed on your desk, althought it can also sit on your lap or knee (I use it on my desk or the flat arm of my recliner). It has a flat bottom and isrubberized so as not to move around when you're using it. It's completely programmable (SUPER easy)--its app/driver enables you to apply any shortcut key to any button, of which there are 15. It doesn't have modes, and I hate modes, anyway. They're more confusing than helpful, IMO, because your brain doesn't easily overload four different functions to every individual key. I find 15 keys to be plenty--plus my (Wacom) graphics tablet has its own express keys and dial, etc. if I absolutely were to need them (in practice, I don't. It gives me plenty). One of the great things about the Shuttle Pro V2 is that not only is very customizable, but it's customizable to each and every separate app that you choose to use it with--and its app already has preset button assignments for well over 100 apps. (It automatically recognizes what program you're using.) But you can always change any/all of them that you wish, or add new your own. Just for fun, you can come up with mappings for whatever software you like to use. It has buttons with clear keytops which you can affix labels under for your main driver. Oh--and it will do macros, too! So one button can conceivably do a multi-step sequence if you repeat any often. The buttons are laid out very comfortably around a mechanical (not capacitative) jog wheel and dial. The outer ring is generally used for fast forwarding or rewinding through a timeline (but it can be used for anything you like). It's spring-loaded, and the more you turn it, the faster it goes in either direction. In the center of that ring is a smaller inner wheel with fingertip recesses in the top that also turns, but isn't spring loaded. It turns easily, and is typically used to scrub back and forth (frame by frame, or sample by sample, etc.) through audio, video, or animation. It's used for video editing, animation, audio editing, DJing, graphics, etc. But they can be used to increment/decrement anything with or without a timeline that you can shortcut to. You can use it just like a Wacom touch wheel. Mine has worked flawlessly for close to 20 years and has survived being knocked around, so they're made well, and the only changes have been updating the app/drivers. I just thought someone might want to check it out and think about giving it a go. Requires no batteries--runs off of USB power alone. I can't recommend it any more highly. If they ever make a Bluetooth version, I'll be sure to snatch one up. contourdesign.com/products/shuttle-pro-v2 *(There is another version that they also still sell called the ShuttleExpress, and it's half the Pro version price at $49. (The ShuttlePro is smaller, and has much fewer buttons. I've never owned one, though.) The same driver software operates it.

Had this happen to me and wasn't able to grab the remaining nib with tweezers. After looking online a bit, I was able to work it out with a pin and get it replaced in like 5 min. Replacement nibs are cheap on amazon, luckily I had some on hand. Easiest if you notice the nib is weakened before it snaps, since that makes the removal process way easier.
