Hello, we have a silent 100 in 3 areas of the house. How do you take the housing off to clean?
@envirovent20 күн бұрын
Hi there, The front cover is just clipped in place, it would be a case of levering the front cover off by placing a blunt object just under the cover to raise away from the housing. For further assistance can be advised by contacting our technical team: [email protected]

Hi I'm new to having and using an envirovent filterless infinity fan. I would like some advice about them, are they suitable for when you cook in the kitchen as well? Or are they not the same as a hooded extractor fan in kitchens for cooking to get rid of the steam. Would i need to get a hooded extractor fan over the cooker in the kitchen or will the envirovent filterless infinity fan do the same job??
@envirovent7 ай бұрын
Hi there 😊 Happy to hear you're using our fans - of course we can give some advice. The Filterless Infinity Fan can be used in kitchens, they are powerful enough to work with steam. However, they need to be applied with the correct ventilation strategy. i.e. All fans within the house need to be continuous running so they work in the same way together ventilating the whole house. For an answer specific to your situation however, it's probably worth contacting our Technical Team to figure out how to get the best from what you've got. You can email: [email protected] or call us on 0345 27 27 810 and ask for our Technical Team. Hope this helped!

What exactly is "Summer Bypass Mode"?...
@envirovent4 жыл бұрын
Summer Bypass Mode routes the pre-heated extracted air around the heat cell and out to atmosphere, allowing the cooler, fresh air to be supplied directly into the property.

good video, surprised you haven't had any likes or comments before me because it's certainly an interesting point you're making. Thanks. Spent a couple of hours looking into fans for a loft conversion ensuite and now I know what I'm buying :)

Can you adjust the speed on the fan
@envirovent4 жыл бұрын
There’s trickle and boost speeds on the filterless these are fixed speeds.

Can it be turned off in the summer so that windows can be left open. I'm considering buying one but my concern is that with windows open it will work constantly.
@envirovent4 жыл бұрын
There shouldn't be a need to open the windows as the Cyclone fan will ensure humidity levels are kept constant and moisture is removed from the property. There would be no issue opening a window but the fan will ensure condensation and mould does not become a problem.

It's really shocking to see this happening but the reality is that nowadays we "seal" houses to a level that was unheard of just two decades ago. Than on top we have to spend a fortune installing and running mechanical/electronic systems to correct a problem that didn't exist... That's how crazy we've been acting. We must rethink the entire strategy and go back to basics. Nature taught us, we simply forgot it. Either case I don't know the construction codes in UK, but in my country by code flues and chimney MUST go at least 60cm above the roof line. either in a house or a building. One of the reasons why usually top level apartments are always a tiny bit smaller then their low level counterparts. To make space for all the pipe work. :-)

Hello, Is there a solution for condensation water that will, in few occasion come anyway along the heat exhchanger ? Will it drop along the external wall ? For this shoud the unit be installed with a specific inclination ?
@envirovent9 жыл бұрын
Iann Ash With all ventilation systems (standard extract fans or Heat recovery units), there will be some condensation, especially with heat recovery. Therefore when installing any fan there should be a slight downward slope (approx. 1°) away from the fan. With the heatSava if installed correctly then any condensation will run away from the unit to the outside. As long as the vents are protruding from the external wall this will not affect the fabric of the building.
@envirovent9 жыл бұрын
BS 7671:2008 section 701.512.2 states that electrical equipment with an IPX4 rating is suitable to be installed in Zone 1 of a bathroom or shower room. The HeatSava along with all EnviroVents bathroom fans are at least IPX4 rated unless otherwise stated. Therefore the HeatSava is suitable to be installed in zone 1. Please note all circuits need to be protected by a 30mA RCD. The HeatSava is tested by an independent UKAS accredited test centre to EN60335-1 and EN60335-2-80 test standards to an ingress protection of IPX4.

Hi how much is the cost 3 bedroom and 1 kitchen fitting everything because when i wake up my all windows proper steam have you got any branch in Bradford & Leeds. Thanks
@envirovent9 жыл бұрын
Yas A If your bedrooms are also suffering from condensation then I would recommend a whole house ventilation unit rather than a single room heat recovery unit. If you call us on 0345 2727 807 or visit our website at www.envirovent.com/home-ventilation we will be able to provide you with an accurate quote by carrying out a home assessment survey.

Hi, when I got envirovent fitted last year I wanted the Mr Lofty and a HeatSava, but my installer told me I couldn't have a HeatSava because my extractor fan was too close to my bath edge. I got the cyclone instead but on reflection this makes no sense to me, because in your video, you install it, literally inside the shower curtain, whereas my Cyclone is above my toilet NEXT TO my bath. I read an install manual which said it can't be above the shower head where water might enter, mine would have been on a different wall to the shower. Question is, is there a rule about distance to the bath edge or size of bathroom? I still want a SRHR if I can get one.
@envirovent9 жыл бұрын
Christopher Mahon heatSava is IPX4 rated and is suitable to go in Zone 1 as long as it is protected by a 30mA RCD. I am unsure as to why the installer would not install it, he may not have realised in is suitable. It has the same IP rating as the fan he has installed. Please see our bathroom zoning information for further details: www.envirovent.com/trade/about-us/bathroom-zoning-areas/

Did you know that there are about 10,000 house dust mites in the average bed, during summer with raised humidity levels the female dust mite can lay around 50 eggs throughout her life span. #EnviroFacts
