I really don't see the advantage of those recommended calculators over let's say the TI-30X Plus MathPrint? Ok, for the graphic calculator you'll need another TI model. Perhaps there Casio has the edge or is more affordable. Otherwise I'd buy the HP Prime G2 which seems to be the best calculator out there besides those very expensive SwissMicros calculators that are based on older HP calculators. By the way here in Switzerland many universities simply restrict the use of calculators to certain models. (For example in Basle the TI-30X Plus MathPrint is the strongest calculator allowed in meny disciplines!) But if this isn't a concern in GB - good for your students! 😆

Thanks, it’s 1 hour, though most students won’t be able to manage all the questions in that time, so you can get a certificate with 9 or 10 out of 25 usually.

Triangle OBC is an iscosoles triangle so the other angle will also be 25° meaning Angle COB is 130° using angles in a triangle equal 180° Using the fact that the angle at the center is double the angle at the circumference of the circle, we can reduce that angle X is half of 130 So angle X is 65° 😁😁😁

I absolutely love your proof! Not only is it simple, but it also captures the essence of the integral as the antiderivative of a function. Most proofs I encounter are rigorous and difficult to grasp because they're not grounded in intuition like yours. Of all I've seen, this is the best way to demonstrate how the summation of areas leads to the antiderivative of a function. For complete beginners, this is the go-to video for understanding integration. Thank you so much for the explanation!
@Mathsaurus29 күн бұрын
Thanks, yes there's always a balance between being beginner friendly but also rigorous and I think this one gets a good balance, so pleased you agree. Might make a slicker version of the video one day though the maths is the most important part!
hey im 16 and thinking of participating in this smc maybe by the end of this year, im in y11 and take as pearson edexcel international maths, do you recommend i participate? and how do i as well?
