Just gonna say one thing you have to squeeze every muscle in your body and point your toes I’m a diver and get yelled at for not pointing my toes all the time it’s so hard to remember when you are thinking about the dive but it’s only my 2nd year I’ll get it

Went off a 10m platform only twice - in military basic training. First time was in full combat gear including boots. No problem. Second time in swim trunks. Hit with my feet flat and felt it for a few hours afterwards. Other than that no problem. It can be intimidating the first time - we had several recruits completely chicken.

Being young and clueless I remember when I was 8yrs instead of running and jumping off the 7m board like a normal person ,In all my wisdom I decided to hang off the end and let go , I remember the tiles and the edge of the concrete narrowly missing my jaw and face by about a foot as I hit the water. It was only then I realised how Close I came to almost dying ,the life guard came running over to see if I was alright, she was as white as a ghost. I was so lucky
