Back in the 80s I was in a band with another lead guitarist (RIP). He had a 2200 and just ran a DOD 250 OD Preamp in front with a Hondo Flying V with a DiMarzio Super 2 in the bridge. Total vintage Vivian Campbell tone. I was so jealous ‘cause I had a Carvin X100B tube halfstack and he had such a nice tone! :-)

Thanks for doing this! My all time favorite. Marcus Miller does it too with that cool sounding off beat, trip you up bass. Miles Davis even said he throws out his punches, like a boxer, at the very last second when you least expect it! His difficult signature style and compositions.

All we hear is distorted tone, which is mainly the amp. What does the guitar sound like?
@karlspencer1203 Жыл бұрын
I ❤this pedal as for a digital recreation of Jim's setup it blows my mind. Through a tube amp it's even better as it proper nails the Jimi Vibe. I have it going through both of my Fender Superchamps with the dual output and its absolutely amazing the Jimi Vibes that one can create with that setup. I highly recommend the Digitech FS3X pedal as you can switch between modes and all of the effects a lot easier for when you are on the fly... So for anyone who has this bute of a pedal - carry on with all of the Jimi Vibes that you will lose yourself in and for anyone who hasn't got this pedal then what are you waiting for - go and get one second hand as they don't make them anymore.. Happy Guitar playing my dear Hendrix aficionados... Olivia 🐻, MEOW!!! Karly 😸, WOOFITY, WOOF, WOOF!!!

I saw Jimi Hendrix at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. My friend and I kept sitting, and after the crowd left we walked up as roadies came out and looked at the equipment onstage. I dropped out of high school to get a factory job to buy the same equipment and be an electric guitarist, losing my trumpet and violin. I bought a 1964 Stratocaster in 1970 and ordered a 50 watt Marshall head with an 8x10" speaker cabinet, all they would sell me because I wasn't an American recording act. I had a Crybaby, Dallas Arbiter Fuzz-Face and tried various phase shifters, five months before Jimi passed away. I ended up using an MXR Phase 90. The Phase 45, made for bass, worked pretty good, having a hard time deciding. I liked having my Crybaby first, more about having a heavy pedal to hold the cord down so I didn't drag other effects around. Now I have an Ernie Ball volume pedal for that. I'm using a Marshall pre-amp with an Audio Pro Mosfet 500 watt stereo power amp, with BOSS effects through the loop and my seventies set-up on the floor. I hope your future music club includes you playing in a band onstage. Any stage.

@bentovarmusic4 жыл бұрын
@@diogenessbeats7421 I know that scale as Minor pentatonic blues, so, as long as your scale has these notes [F#-A-B-C-C#-E], that's the scale of the main melody.
