Thanks! I have the Vertex. That video was super helpful. I learned a couple of things. I was hoping that second roller came off so i could clean the see through part! I appreciate your help nonetheless! 😊

Aircraft mechanic of 14 years here. I've seen some pretty garbage engineering designs that are not conducive to maintenance and then I've seen a whole new level in Shark. They seem to be openly hostile to anyone that even attempts to repair something they own. It's actually disgusting. All I wanted to do was clean out my plastic roller housing easily. But Shark says no.

Does the handle also have a built in light for when you use it in stick form, like the Apex did?

Designed to be lite and of a thickness that is still durable with thin lite durable components. Lots of screwed down access points for service makes it a better design in my opinion, More screws doesn't mean it is a weak design at All, Somebody could have thought a sealed unit is not so attractive to a Customer, People like to repair things if they can or have them repaired by a technician. Buy it on a Sale and you can't go wrong, I've had Wertheim vacuum cleaner and powerhead gave up working and that was a high priced unit 3x the price. The Strato's is in direct comp's with a Dyson of similar class, And has better suction.

I just successfully replaced a broken front roller belt, and almost certainly would have broken the assembly while trying to open it if not for this video. Very much appreciated!

I'm getting red light after few second of working with bruches. Only hard floor programme doesn't give me red light so when brushes doesn't spin. They are spinning and working as normal just few second and the red light is coming on and it's stops spinning any idea? Suction power is still verry good.

It sounds like you have an issue with your brushroll or brushroll motor. It is running for a few seconds before it errors out because of too much resistance. A failed bearing or hair wrapped in the end of the brushroll will create enough resistance to falsely trip the belt protection system, which is the red light you are experiencing. Unfortunately, Shark isn't going to see you just the brushroll. Rather, they will sell you the entire nozzle assembly, which depending on model can run from $99-130. Hope that helps.

Wow! Don’t think I’ll buy a Shark vac again. Unfortunately, after only 1 year, I sucked up a plastic stick pen , hidden under my Lazy boy recliner. It’s lodged under roll brush! Can’t believe such a night mare to fix issue. Meanwhile, I’ve purchased new nozzle at hefty $95 plus shipping & tax $115. I really like the performance, but design for maintenance is terrible. I still prefer my Kirbys!

Thanks to you I was able to troubleshoot my Dyson and discovered I'm in the same spot as your customer from this video. I'm not happy that I need to buy a new vacuum after just 3 years but at least I know what the issue is and can buy a different brand to avoid this in the future.

Can't believe they have not allowed for easy removal over the brush head cover. Such a backwards step, 2 minutes out of the box I got a twig caught just out of finger reach, not good ! Other than that it's a cracking vacuum cleaner

I used a T10, a T15, and a Phillips size #1 to follow this tutorial, just FYI for anyone else watching! I was using the wrong sized Phillips heads at first and thought I needed a super special shaped tool, but it turned out I was using a #2 which was too big, and a #00 which was too small. Easy mistake for those of us who didn't realize Phillips heads came in different sizes. Thanks for this detailed video!! The Dyson video for the same issue has no audio and doesn't go as far in depth taking apart the machine. This one is much better.

So I was so excited to buy this vacuum. It was my first "big purchase" as a new appliance and I thought the thing to prevent hair from wrapping up on the roller was a Godsend, as I have three long haired females in my home! I wanted to love it, I still do! It's suction is great but it is messy (bagless soubds great in theory, but...). The hair still wrapps on the rollers, but maybe not as bad? My biggest issue is, I believe, where the hose connects to the body of the unit. The pins are clean, fully extended, undamaged. It clicks into position nicely and turns on. The lights and brush roller are powered as you begin to vacuum... Until you pull the unit back. Then the electrical connection is lost. Till you push it again. I am trying to troubleshoot this myself but I can't find a forum to get advice that is still active. Reddit, for example, even on posts with activity in recent months, cannot be interacted with. I can't find any troubleshooting for the model and the problem, past a sentence telling me to make sure the hose is firmly connected. No kidding. If anyone has suggestions, I would love to hear them! I couldn't, in good conscience, recommended this product to anyone at full price. Maybe as a cheap secondhand vacuum.

Thank you for your video, Is the motor is brushless with no Carbon Graphite? The Meile Compact C1 I have recent follow your video to fix the cord thank you for that. but the inside has lots of back dust come from the carbon graphite contact brush from the motor. I am looking to replace this unit with Miele CX1 blizzard if this model is brushless, and I've noticed went you took the motor apart from this video. I was shock there were so clean. Which I assume the motor is brushless, Can you confirm if this model Miele CX! blizzard is brushless motor? Thank you...
@HouseOfVacuums
@HouseOfVacuums Ай бұрын
The motor on the Blizzard is brushed. It is essentially the same motor you'll find in the Compact C1. As to why there wasn't as much carbon dust, that would have to do with the age of the machine. This one just hadn't been run as many hours, resulting in less wear to the brushes. Brushless motors are typically only used in cordless applications. It is very rare to see them in corded machines. I think the only one I can think of would be the Rainbow E-Series, but that brushless motor system was riddled with controller issues. So many bad main boards on those and they are somewhere between $300-400 a pop.

@@HouseOfVacuums thank you very much for your feedback. I almost going to buy the CX1. Cuz my current one uses the brush. What a big mess when I was fixing it. It's carbon everywhere. Plus it's probably go in the air inside my house I've been using the Meile C1 compact canister for almost 7 years. The previous one was also meile lasted 13y. Thanks again for your help. ! 👍🙏
@HouseOfVacuums
@HouseOfVacuums Ай бұрын
@@mlmov3417 As long as you are running the HEPA filter on your C1 there should be no carbon dust exiting back out into the room. The motor chamber is completely sealed and all the air has to exit through the sealed HEPA. So there would be no carbon dust in the exhaust once filtered.

@@HouseOfVacuums I also have the older Miele model S544. I'm trying to repair it. I tested the motor. There's continuity. The only thing it's the triac which is the voltage regulator. Somehow you touch the two prompts. There is no continuity. I have ordered the parts Triac parts # T2050H-6T to replace voltage regulator. Also the plastic piece for the air pressure sensor broke. I don't think I can get parts for it so I have to use crazy glue to glue it back. thanks again for your input. Appreciate it 🙂,🙏

You know you really should do a video of where you're taking one of them apart to show everybody what the inside of the motor chamber looks like period after all that dust gets down inside the motor and not to mention the Cyclone filtration area and how stopped up and gross those areas are. I really wish companies would stop making Bagless vacuums they are just pieces of crap
