I knew Dave Gold in the late sixties and early seventies. In those days he was an idealist. Later on when his stores selling cheap unrecyclable plastic items from China, and he became a multi-millionaire, he was a very changed person. His son's do not honor his legacy in any way. I worked for Dave and his liquor store when I was a young teen. What he became in his later years was utterly despicable.

I like his confidence and attitude. Mr Kosugi has went through a lot and he started as a extra .Eight years as a extra! That part I never knew that part about him.

What a festive video! I tried to spot my daughter in the photos, but to no avail. It’s obvious that LMU is a special school. Thanks for sharing this!

No disrespect to Mr. Menendez or his efforts, but why would anyone want to be a whistleblower in today’s climate? People have to job hop every 3-4 years to stay ahead of the cost of living, this concept just didn’t exist in the whistleblower cases we learn about in college. It’s just that people are constantly changing jobs on a whim to keep ahead of earnings potential that there won’t be much focus on what the company is doing, especially if the operation has a very high volume of transaction flows. The whistleblower is facing extinction, it has to be long-term employees committed to the organization who can identify and act on financial malfeasance. Who are employed in the company long enough to be able to competently understand the financial structure of the firm and identify how revenues and liabilities are recognized, to be able to identify the wrong accounting or irregularities. Especially since AI is more heavily used in transaction handling and can be manipulated by top management. The only whistleblower that would exist is someone who is in senior management that perpetuates the accounting fraud. Look at FTX, a $32 billion fraud, bigger than Enron. What amazes me about that case was that 2 senior managers involved in the fraud willingly plead guilty and didn’t deny they committed crimes. Whereas, in every major corporate financial crime case the senior executives immediately deny existence of fraud and deny wrongdoing and deflect all blame.

The surrender of Japan shouldn't have been signed on Missouri. It should have been on the Enterprise, the ship that had seen the most combat and played a huge role in a war that saw the carrier become the most important warship. If not the Enterprise, it should have taken place on one of the repaired Pearl Harbor battleships. Instead, this historic event took place on an unimportant battleship because of the vanity of an accidental president.

I watched every Sho Kosugi movie. I didn't care if they are good or bad. As long as Sho was in it, I watched them. What are your favorite Sho Kosugi movies? Mine are the first 2 that made him an international success. Enter the Ninja and of course Revenge of the Ninja. I can see those 2 over and over again!

Really, all wars? Whose side was he on during the Punic War, Rome or Carthage? What about the some of the Roman Civil Wars, for example was he for Marius or Sulla? If Truman wasn't human he must have been Mars!

THE DEMS manage to lose every war they blunder our country into. Roosevelt armed Stalin to the teeth, and Truman withdrew US forces from Korea, practically laying out a welcome mat for the communists to take over all of Korea. Then when MacArthur turned back the invasion, Truman fires him before he can finish the job. The Democratic Party is really a euphemism for the Communist Party. Today, they don’t even try to hide it anymore.

I think there's one thing that wasn't obvious then that should be more visible now. Japan is dispute over islands with Russia, China, and Korea for the simple reason is that it gives them more leverage and clout with the US. One can say that Japan's leaders are actually trying to stake claim to these islands on behest of the US. This will give Japan and the US naval rights close to Russian and China shores. I think it becomes clear in this light. Japan has long been a vassal to the US since the time of Commodore Perry. It's also why they were not bifurcated after WWII. It's also why they adjust their central bank policy to accommodate Federal Reserve Policy.
