Wildenrath was my last station of my time in Germany. My wife and I were quartered in Erkelenz about 8 miles as the crow flies from the airfield and being woken at 0700 on a Sunday morning by the noise of the QRA pair launching was a regular occurrence. Has to be said in all honesty though, they were fun times.

Looks a little long I personally drop when the inside of the neck turns orange. Also set the BLUE TIP back to the shoulder so I get it annealed too. Annealing at the shoulder will give you consistent shoulder bump back.

I take it from that remark you are American. If so Japan was the country that brought you WWII. Had the not attacked Pearl Harbour America would have stayed out of the war. The world would be a very different place today if that had been the case.

I suggest you read up on WWII history. Something to do with Nazis invading Czechoslovakia and Poland, France, Belgium, etc I could go on.

I looked up the word "Brute" in the dictionary today but all it showed was a photo of a Phantom. I was at Wildenrath at that time - instructing on the Harrier GR3 sim - and they were great times, even with the USSR and IRA making life difficult!

I did Battleflight myself a few times on 19 Sqn,our aircraft stationed just over the way from 92 `s,on our own site....So easy to trip up when running out....Think there`s a film on u tube of a pilot doing a similar thing,or actually tripping..on a much more up todate...QRA scramble in the uk

Mine is a Plainfield (Dunellen) with (I'm told) GI parts. I've read and seen negative stuff about the Universals. Got mine from a friend in 1992. She sold it to me for $1, to keep it legal here in NY state. It is a sweet rifle and every gun collector/owner should have one in their battery. The WWll samples are bitchin' expensive and hard to find.

Hi John - great to see some shooting in Bisley! The 6mm flies very straight I understand. Also with no optics (like Swiss 300m) and prone unsupported (like Swiss 300m K31). Strangely we are allowed to use the bipod for Stgw. 57 and Stgw. 90. As soon as I'm 60 I'll be allowed to rest the K31 (woohoo!). Please bring more British shooting videos! What about presenting your 6mm rifle during cleaning? All the best, Rob

I was there on 19...Same year...85/86...Yes our Has`s were opposite each other.Remember all the videos and good food from the officers mess,and all those safety pins to re instate on the weaponry etc after every aircraft return,before engine shut down !!! ..Or the fact we are going to have a practice scramble any time within the next 5 hours.....Not knowing was better !!!! Happy days..

@@gavinking5605 used to like it when the RAF Police came by in the evenings with their dog,,,I seem to remember there was one dog that was never brought into our accommodation on battleflight but just tied up outside,while the Handler came in for a cuppa....If you had to go out to check something on the aircraft,and had forgotten about the dog being outside..it was close to hear attack time,when the barking started !!!..Especially in the dark..lol

@@adrianandkatrinadove203 Dog Handlers used to come into the 19Sqn Stores HES for a brew. Most of the dogs were okay, but one used to be tied up down the racking at the bottom of the HES. One night forgot it was there, went to pick a piece of kit out of the racking, first I clocked it was the land shark snapping away about 6 inches from my face. Cacked myself. (Wildenrath 1986-1990)

Hi, sorry the vid made you feel sad. There isnt a day goes by without thinking of him or Jaz or Ebby. We have Arco now, he's another rescue and we love him dearly. We waited 4 months before getting him. If you do decide on another Weimaraner - kindly consider a rescue. There are so many that need a good home. Kind regards, John, Maggie, Arco and Syb

The most heartbreaking video i have ever seen. Lost my Wiemaraner after 13 years at christmas and i spent the day tell her how much i loved her and i was sorry that i had to let her go.The vet came to our home and we let her go in front of the fire....hearts been broken since .Wiemaraners are truly the most wonderful dogs and i may be thinking of getting another,but don't know if i can bear saying goodbye to a faithful friend again when the time comes.

I think my crows would taste the wine, shake their heads in distaste, and then look at me like "what was that?!" They do like vanilla ice cream, though :)
@verticalsmurf15 жыл бұрын
I agree, Syb doesn't seem to be drinking it, She seems to be spreading it on her feathers, either for the smell or the anticeptic value of the alcohol (silly bird, drinking the stuff does wonders!). Does she have a problem with her right foot? Is that why you have her? I'm jealous by the way. I would never catch and keep a crow, but I'm envious of those who for whatever reason got to know a crow.

Ahhh, I know why she loves the wine! She's using it as she would ants!! This behavior is called 'anting' and she must LOVE the way it feels on her feathers! NICE VIDEO
