Conrado Javier: Developers struggled to make Taka fight thoroughly when they were making VF4.

AM2 had a hard time trying to implement Taka in the new game engine for VF4 they didn't have the time or budget to do it since he would need some very specific changes in the engine just for him.

It was strange in VF3 that Aio and Taka were susceptible to some outrageous combos that did not apply to other characters.

I didn't expect to se a "Rising Dragon Punch" (the punch Dural jumps in the air spining and hit her opponent) as Dural's attack.

cool vid, some really wild combo's. True vf3 had flaws (no quick get up, and 4th button) but when this game came out, it was the cats ass. It just seems dated in a way that evo does not. Hell-- vf4:evo is better than vf5 in many ways.

I like VF3tb (Model 3) more than VF4 if you think about it VF3tb is the most revolutionary Virtua Fighter in the series, i also prefer to do evades with a button instead of the stick, the uneven stages were a nice addition which makes this game worth playing to this day since no other VF game had stages like these.

LOL! what a mug yes i remember alot of games in 1996 having walls and tech rolls. what killed vf is the 5 year gap between 3 and 4, and dull snoozefest that is vf5

Sick! This is definitely a good videos to learn new Akira combination. My only question would be is all this still can be done on the MODEL 3 board as that was the Dreamcast version? Here's wondering... Meanwhile, let's all keep crossing our fingers for the MODEL 3 emulator to be completed as VF3 on that machine was definitely WAY ahead of its time.

this was a great game. personally, i think vf3 had the best stages out of all of them. too bad dreamcast is discontinued =[

No i just read it in an interview with the producers about how they were going to work him in. You'll notice in 5R he's slightly smaller and faster than he was in 3, he's still by far the biggest and slowest character but the gap isn't so wide now so he CAN be juggled. He's also being made into more of an intermediate-expert character rather than strictly experts only. But he still retains most of his moves and a lot of unique hit animations.
