Thanks so much for this link to this one John, very cool licks man.

Hi John, this is a great little lesson here man. I’ve been on an Allman Brothers kick for quite a few months here now since they used this hexatonic major sounding scale so much. It’s such a nice change from redundantly playing the minor pentatonic. Hoping you do more like this and thanks again man.

@Learningguitarnow Hey John how do you find the super reverb as an at home amp ? In your opinion is the tone you can get out of it much better than its smaller counterparts like say a Princeton and is it worth sacrificing its impracticality like being to loud for the tone ? Thanks
@Learningguitarnow3 күн бұрын
For me it works great but I only use it for recording and it stays in a soundproof room so doesn't bother the neighbors or me when I'm recording. Most people aren't going to be able to do this though. I could also use it with the Fryette Power Station to tame the volume which works great. You can also use IRs if you want to record silently so for me it's the perfect amp and I much prefer it to a smaller amp. I like a lot of headroom in my amps.

This lesson wasn't recorded with the Super Reverb though.

@@Learningguitarnow ok thanks for your answer John ! Ya a lot of the tones I hear out of a super is the sound I’m looking for except the volume would be a little bit of an issue. I love your style in gear and your playing John keep making vids !

Wow! You really nailed it. I’ve done a bunch of lessons on Mike Bloomfield licks. And I’ve looked at a lot of other ones by other people. They usually don’t get it down very well but you nailed it.

I alerted my nephew to this video. It’s simply THE VERY BEST introduction to beginning to solo I have ever seen. He was frustrated just playing scales, and triads were difficult for him to locate. It’s really got him started. 👍

Certainement pas pour les débutants guitaristes! Quelques années de pratique sont nécessaires... et aussi un peu d'oreille😉 Sinon, le rythme est lent et ne présente pas de difficulté.
