What a great album but this is the stand out song for me. There are a lot of us failures out here who can identify with this, what a song, absolutely brilliant.

I was 5 when this came out. I wasn't even in England when it came out. It was only to a close family ,who was Shadows mad, played it on his radiogram, that I heard it. I have memories of hearing it in Woolworths when coming home from school.

Another fantastic song from The Overtures. I only just discovered these guys after seeing them on a cruise last year. I couldn't believe my ears, they were amazing.

So glad they're still going strong. "Once In A World" is my "go to" album in the car. A couple of years back, before I bought the album, because my hearing is shot, I couldn't quite make out the lyrics of "Till Your Luck Runs Out" and wanted to do an arrangement of it for the ukulele so I cheekily emailed to ask for them. Den, the lead singer and songwriter came back immediately with a very supportive reply and all the information I needed. Really talented musicians - they deserve a much wider audience.

I saw these guys on a large cruise ship last year. I couldn't believe how amazingly brilliant they were. I have been listening to their stuff on KZbin. They definitely deserve to be more widely recognised as the fantastic band they are. I love to hear them live again.

That was excellent! And not just the lead guitarist, the whole band came together so well; really enjoyed this, and Wonderful Land is not even one of my favourite Shads tunes!

Many thanks to Robin Gibb for a wonderful song. I always prefer his solo performances. He was one of the best singers of the Bee Gees. I will never forget, I listen to it every day. Magical songs for our and future generations❤️

I love this song ( not to be confused with the early penned McCartney/Harrison song of course), it has such a great sixties type sound and beat and is just a beautiful song in its own right. I wish some one would do a Guitar Tutorial for it.

Dudes, very nice song. I hear an electric 12 string but can't see it 😅 Anyways, very beatle-ish

At around :40, the pronounced 12-string guitar riff eerily reminds me of a similar sounding one in the Beatles’ “Ask Me Why”. Am I right?
@theoverturesyoutubechannel930 Жыл бұрын
Yes Ron, it's the chord progression from G to G (+5) which is reminiscent of The Beatles Ask Me Why!

@@theoverturesyoutubechannel930 thanks so much for confirming. My kid’s a cellist, but at least I have an ear and a memory. Hope to see you guys make more Beatles-inspired songs or even covers from their Fab Four days!
