What a blessing it was to stumble upon this video! I always wondered why KT suddenly disappeared from country music. She sure left us an abundance of great music. Such a sweet precious soul.

She was a National Treasure. She was always a lady. Such a talented singer & songwriter. A wonderful Human beautiful inside & out. I am so glad she was still living when she was inducted. So many artist die before they are ever nominated much less inducted. Do Ya is my husband & I's song. We were married in Las Vegas in December of 1984. This December will be our 40th Anniversary. We still regularly listen & sing along to any & all of her music. I have always claimed we had a special conection because of the gap in our front teeth. LOL It's been said some of the most famous people have the same gap. Well it's my story & I am sticking to it. Thank you for doing this with K.T.. R.I.P. P.B.F.H.

The song "Hold Me" moved my soul. Maybe everyone wants to feel loved and this draws the emotion and yearning out of you from deep within somehow. Maybe love you wanted from the person you loved but never got. A truly great song and K.T. sang it with her heart. Damn!

I can’t believe in all my searches for everything K.T. I’d never found this interview. What a gem, I really feel I got to see the real her in this. What a sense of humour and quirkiness. Miss her.

Did KT have Parkinson's ? I couldn't help but notice her hands shaking. I really miss her. Such a prolific songwriter and an absolutely beautiful voice. Her voice spoke and sang with emotion. Her voice cried when she sang some of her soulful songs.

Yes, she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2015. It forced her into an assisted living facility the next year. I miss her a lot. She was fantastic.

@@CCrawford522 Yeah, I heard about this but I still don't get it. I've never heard of someone needing assisted living within a year of Parkinson's diagnosis. I think she must have HAD Parkinson's for a long time before the diagnosis. But then, why would she have it for so long and so bad without a diagnosis? 🤷‍♂️

😂🤣😂 I don't know what is more egregious, your failure to use most of the English language, or your use of four periods for an ellipses. I agree with the message though. 👍👍👍

I was born in 80 and I remember being a kid when 80s ladies came on. I really didn't know who she was then but it was played ever so often. I live in TX and country is one of the most popular genres naturally. Her voice was always unique and I picked up on the women's perspective. I had so many strong women role models in my life and she was so much like my grandma. Independent, talented, beautiful, smart, witty but yet vulnerable. Reflecting back now at 42, I miss the passion and class of writers and singers like her. She disappeared and didn't know why. 80s ladies came on one day and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I looked her up. I was so sad to hear of her passing. My great-uncle had Parkinson's and it's difficult thing to watch someone go though. She was a treasure.
