As a kid I had many a trip around the Kyles of Bute on the Jeanie Deans (sister ship to Waverley I believe) . I can almost smell the engines watching this video

Uh... big trucks are a reality..... and sometimes we car drivers...who OWN the road and all we survey..... must make a little room in order to have all the stuff truckers bring us for minimum wage..... like clothes- food- a paving machine- cars- ......

Been there, done that. It's a fact of life that truckers deal with every day. Everyone as drivers have to drive as if a child will run out in the street chasing a puppy or ball and be prepared to stop. With that mindset, you will recognize the semi coming the other way and be the grown up in the room. All oversize loads are permitted, and the route is approved by the state. If escorts are deemed necessary, it's the state that makes that decision, not the trucker.

Oh damn you barely made it through that alive! However did you handle that situation so amazingly? What a life-changing experience! You seriously thought this was worth a KZbin video? Seriously?

A bit ragged but one of the best ways of using most of the muscles. At least no body weight loading the knees and ankles as no sliding seats.

Thoroughly absorbing picture for those who know the club and area well already. Object lesson for those who have yet to understand that less is more. Some Cowes week programmes are almost hysterical and can cut to another scene just when you want to see the spinnaker set successful or otherwise. Pity the club's season ends so soon.

Great bonus for the weekly bulletin of RGYC to be able to see your recording and Pipers in among the Etchells. Looks like another wet day on the Clyde. TC .outport member at Lowestoft.
