Thanks for this informational video! It's been helping alot with this tournament app I'm working on. I had a question which I wonder if you or anyone in the comments was able to figure out, but how would you set the Matches played tab to only change once the score is inputed. For example, The Matches played would be 0 or blank until the scores of the first games are put in. Then It would change to 1. Because at the moment, matches played is already set before scores are put in due to the fact that it bases it on how many times the team name appears.

Is there a way to use conditional formatting so that home (eg 3 : 1) wins will show in green cells, draws (2 : 2) in, say, amber and away (1 : 3) in red? I can do this for multiple cells but is it possible inside one cell featuring these colons? Any help would be much appreciated.

Amazing!!! Thank you so much, this guide was the best one!! only column I changed was the GD and moved it in between Points and GA. The only thing that is not working for me is the fact that you all have the pre populated teams in, what if the fixtures are not yet released, and I am entering them weekly, the played column does not work properly. For example, i have two teams played two games only(1 home 1 away) , but it is showing that they have played 4 times.

at 2:31 you had a very unlike scenario where they matched on everything. You have goal difference, but which input is for another parameter (second) for whoever has higher GS (goals scored) in case they match with "Dif"?

What was the point of having a soccer chart just to “rank” team names in alphabetical order? Why not rank them by pts, gd and wins?

I'd like to do this with multiple leagues per tab: EFL in tab 1; National in tab 2; regional in tab 3 etc. I have worksheet with 35 leagues which means 35 tabs. Surely there must be a way to consolidate into a handful of tabs without the tables assuming all games not yet played are 0-0 draws.

these results are not true, 2nd october We (Luton Town) did not beat Huddersfield 6-1 , it was 0-0 draw, i wish we won 6-1 !! I have something similar by the way , i have for Premier League , championship , league 1 and league 2 , and also champions league and europa league, i have an x-junction grid (is what i named it) too :) and a few others things :) but all in all i like these ideas :)

Countif function shows wrong results and wrong totals...... in the wins columns..... in the fixtures list each team repeats 38 times whereas it registers only 5 or 6 for each team

Hi there, I have recreated this table for the 2020/21 Premier league season and have encountered a problem. For certain teams (4 in particular), the away result is not being counted and hence they are showing as having played as half as many games. The formula is working for the 16 other teams and I can see where I have gone wrong, any help would be appreciated!

This is excellent. However, I have followed this video and adapted it for the Championship 2020/2021 and encountered a couple of minor issues. One, Sheffield were deducted 12 points (although that was later reduced to 6 points). Can this workbook be modified to handle this please? And two, particularly at the start of the season, Ranking results in #N/A for many teams. I know this is because these teams are identical in terms of points, goal difference, and goals for.
