Virgin Trains are missed. Virgin trains provided a great service on the WCML between Glasgow Central and London Euston. Usually stopping at stations like Motherwell, Carlisle, Lancaster, Preston, Warrington Bank Quay, Wigan North Western, Crewe, Wolverhampton, Birmingham New Street, Coventry and Milton Keynes on their way to the UK capital.

When I was a lad, it was WESTERN Buccaneer that kept popping up Especially at Dawlish (D1018 Class 52 Western diesel hydraulic wasn't preserved 😞 but D1015 WAS!!! 😀)
