Had a Midnight Green 1995 SE. Your Exhaust smell could be the leaking exhaust headers. NOTORIOUSLY BAD the 94 & 95, NISSAN wouldn't do anything about it after warranty. I had POWER DOOR LOCK issues as well, always make sure you have an extra key in your pocket.

Thank you! XJs are very special vehicles for so many people. They are great in really every way, whether you want a daily, a project, an offroader, or anything in between. People often confuse bulletproof (which XJs are) with maintenance free. It does all of that well, so I am very happy with my purchase. I would like to continue making videos on this channel, so if I do I'll likely upgrade to the XM-5. Thanks again, I appreciate the comment.

Stating the obvious, vehicles that do not get chopped up and modified after time appreciate in value. Nice to see steel wheels with the original center caps. Sadly my '87 Pioneer was half-lifted prior to my acquiring it to which I corrected it. Making quality of life improvements. I have the OEM wheels stored for now, while I use a set of ZJ wheels. I've got somethings posted up when I can for reference on my channel. I watch Workshop to Wilderness and others to see how other have done things as well. I don't miss plastic head lights and prefer my glass OEM style lights. I went from a '97 ZJ LTD to my XJ Pioneer for $2,500 that came out of Nebraska, then to the Dakota's, now with me in NW Washington State, AT 196,000 or so miles on the odometer, I intend it to be my last vehicle. Best wishes. 😁✌

I thought these little Cherokees were probably not as good as the old ones with the V8… until I owned one. A used one with over a hundred thousand miles on it when I got it, and then I got a second one that was a retired sheriff’s patrol vehicle, that after being the personal object of abuse by a captain that liked to break stuff, and had to “ settle” for the jeep because the expedition he special ordered took almost a year to finally come in, and was then a pool vehicle for a rotating assortment of reserve deputies- weekend warrior cowboys who drove it like they stole it, - Really good machines, those XJ’s are!
