Thank you gentlemen. Interesting story and an impressive aeroplane for its time but … the much smaller Arado 232 was the first high wing military transport aeroplane. It had twin tail booms, a rear ramp and was designed to use rough airstrips. The original version used two BMW 801 engines, a type which was subsequently reserved for the Fw190, so it was redesigned to use 4 Bramo engines.
