One of my top ten favorites by The Mountain Goats. Glad to hear it covered. Matthew 25:21 and Pale Green Things are right next to this one in my favorites. But those 2 are hard to listen to. Makes me think of my late grandfather.

glass beach posted a google drive link with tabs and sheet music for most of their 1st album on their patreon! should be available without being a paying subscriber too, afaik patrons just got early access when it was posted

synth is a Korg Minilogue, unfortunately I don't remember what exact parameters I was using for this though, I mostly just messed around until I got something that sounded close enough to the song 😅

It’s so wild to me subscribing to you for the glass beach covers and seeing you play planetside, and seeing people I know pop up in these videos. I’m a huge planetside player, so seeing people I know and interact with is really funny. Small world huh

This song is so nistalgic idk what it isssss I've never heard this song but idk why it brings me back. I remember my ex partner talking about Glass Beach cause they're huge fans and it's always so interesting. Love the cover btw :D

J, the main songwriter, as well as singer, keyboardist, producer, and guitarist of glass beach actually mentioned in the documentary about the making of the first album, that the song was meant to have a nostalgic, yet unsure tone. Seems to be doing exactly as intended lol. I felt the same way the first time I heard this song. Glass beach is a great band!
