Yes sir I agree with the removal, tear down, and refreshing the engine. If not addressed at this time, metal particles from such a failure will be everywhere and will cause more severe failures down the road. I've been in the field almost 22 years now, and it pleases me to see that proper repairs are being recommended, at least, even in today's social/sharing media culture. Personally I've had to make repairs like this mandatory, if my shop is to do the work. The client is always free to seek a 2nd opinion or alternate/inferior repair. Good job and keep up the good work.

We tuned in for the paint. The history and the rear wheel brakes are irrelevant to painting this car

Just purchased an 85 Bronco II in great shape for less than 7 grand. Before sinking huge dollars into that one in the video I would look at finding a solid southern one.

Why did it take 2:20 minutes to say what could have been said in 20seconds? Why no pics of the "valvetrain issues"? The least you could have done is pointed out the major differences between a T/A block and a regular 340LA block to people who have never seen them.

Man what a waist of time and materials. Could of easily done this with some spray outs. But I guess if the customer is willing to waist a couple thousand bucks then more power to ya lol.

I'm doing my own BMW 2002 from 1975. I couldn't find a shop willing to do the work, so I started pulling dents and taking off trim. I've ordered the original Amazongrun paint color in epoxy urethane along with primer, and will be removing the rust, leveling with filler, and going forward from there. I had the engine pulled out and will probably have someone come from the glass shop to remove the front windshield and rear window before I do much more. The engine is getting bored out and new pistons have to be forged for the oversize bore, as well as a bit of machining on the head. So while we are waiting for the machine shop work to be done, I will do this part myself. Overall the car is in fair condition: it was much better before I let my son drive it to college....
