Let‘s hope this pseudo scientific therapists included their weird human killing conversation therapies and organizations will be banned by more and more countries. Being born homosexual and living out the sexuality that goes with it is surely just normal and what have to be done.

Thanks for commenting! I hope you watched the video. To be clear, I have not 100% agreed with anyone I have ever spoken with, but, in this episode Andrew simply shared his experience and proposes healthy relationships as a means to overcome unwanted behaviors. His ministry works with those who seek their help using Christian principles. Based on your comment, it seems that you have deep disagreements with these principles, and I respect that. But, it seems a bit draconian to propose that a religious organization that only provides services to those who seek them out should be banned.
@ucl75Ай бұрын
This religious organizations are trying to persuade people being gay and living it out is not right. It is often said that practicing homosexuality is a sin. How illogical is this stupid claim? God is defined as good and just so as a matter of fact he cannot be a discriminating God.

I agree with Andrew that there are no heterosexuals, homosexuals, bisexuals, transexuals...there are just men and women, with disordered desires to one degree or another. Now I was hoping that with time certain desires would no longer be alluring, but I think he's right there too, it's a daily denial of the self...

Agnostic isn't a useful term because literally everyone is agnostic because that means you don't know that a god exists which is everyone because it's not possible to know because god is unfalsifiable
@physicallyspiritual Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching! I think you are right if you start with doubt and try to either prove or falsify the claim. I am not sure if this is the case when you start with trust. My encounter felt very personal. More like meeting someone very compelling and less like finding and object or figuring something out. I will have to ponder this for a while.
@kingcobraarchie Жыл бұрын
@@physicallyspiritual I was just saying that it's physically impossible to know whether a god exists, making everyone agnostic, making the term basically useless.

The Sumerian tablets pre-date the bible by thousands of years. The modern bible is just a re-telling of the stories in those tablets. They speak of the Lords of Anu, who came here with a slave race called the Igigi. The Igigi rebelled, because they were sick of being slaves. Then the Lords of Anu took the indigenous humanoids who were already here on earth, infused them with Anunnaki DNA and after much trial and error, created the end product called the Adamu, the first modern human. This took place in an open-air laboratory called the E-den. Two Anunnaki brothers, Lord Enlil and Lord Enki, had different ideas about what should be done with the new Homo Sapiens. Enlil wanted them to serve as slaves. Enki wanted to set them free, give them knowledge, and release them from the E-den. Today, Enki is portrayed as Satan, who gave them "forbidden" knowledge, while the evil one was Really Enlil, who wanted to be worshipped as a God, even though he was a flesh and blood being. The bible we know today has serious omissions, such as the Book of Enoch, The Gospel of Thomas, and other books that tell the whole story. The Catholic Church burned people to death by the thousands, pulled their limbs from their sockets on the rack while applying fire to their armpits at the same time. The Catholic Church fomented wars, collected taxes, molested children.

Yeah 53:19 hits the nail on the head. It seems just recently self awareness, mindfulness, childhood trauma, being present were none existent to me. I'm 60 years old. Have been a baptised Catholic and been a devout Catholic since 1988. Never have I been aware of these terms. And terms like Spiritual bypass seems so me. My marriage was in shambles even if I heard daily mass, monthly confessions, participated as a Eucharistic Lay Minister, it all came to naught. Until mindfulness came in. Now when arguments happen. I feel, I recognize I investigate and I nurture. No blaming, no overthinking just love. Now, I try to integrate spirituality with psychology but I feel more weight in healing my psyche rather than improving my relationship with God. I need more of Catholic Psychologists like Dr. B and programs like this to keep me grounded and balanced.

I’ve recently discovered your channel and I look forward to playing catch-up and watching all of the videos. I know I’ll be coming to the comment section to ask many questions. My question for now is, have you heard of WCCM, the World Community for Christian Mediation? The late Benedictine monk John Main or current director of the WCCM Laurence Freeman? If so, what are your thoughts regarding this form of mediation? Thank you and God bless.
@physicallyspiritual Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching! I address this question more directly in season 2 of the podcast which was posted on the Awaken Catholic Channel. This episode specifically - kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYjJc3xmq5erfJY . Based on my research, Fr. John Main was proposing an integration of Transcendental Meditation with Catholic Prayer (similar to Centering Prayer). Transcendental Meditation is not prayer, and I think it should be avoided. It produces predictable psychic phenomena that can be confused with authentic mystical experiences. In general, these approaches focus too much on technique, and insufficiently recognize that sin is the primary thing separating us from God. Authentic Christian prayer is a personal encounter with God in the context of an ongoing relationship of love with God.

Science is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe. Science may be as old as the human species, and some of the earliest archeological evidence for scientific reasoning is tens of thousands of years old. The earliest written records in the history of science come from Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia in around 3000 to 1200 BCE. Their contributions to mathematics, astronomy, and medicine entered and shaped Greek natural philosophy of classical antiquity, whereby formal attempts were made to provide explanations of events in the physical world based on natural causes. After the fall of the Western Roman Empire, knowledge of Greek conceptions of the world deteriorated in Western Europe during the early centuries (400 to 1000 CE) of the Middle Ages, but was preserved in the Muslim world during the Islamic Golden Age. The recovery and assimilation of Greek works and Islamic inquiries into Western Europe from the 10th to 13th century revived "natural philosophy", which was later transformed by the Scientific Revolution that began in the 16th century, as new ideas and discoveries departed from previous Greek conceptions and traditions. The scientific method soon played a greater role in knowledge creation and it was not until the 19th century that many of the institutional and professional features of science began to take shape; along with the changing of "natural philosophy" to "natural science". Modern science is typically divided into three major branches: natural sciences (e.g., biology, chemistry, and physics), which study the physical world; the social sciences (e.g., economics, psychology, and sociology), which study individuals and societies; and the formal sciences (e.g., logic, mathematics, and theoretical computer science), which study formal systems, governed by axioms and rules. There is disagreement concerning whether the formal sciences are science disciplines, because they do not rely on empirical evidence. Applied sciences are disciplines that use scientific knowledge for practical purposes, such as in engineering and medicine. New knowledge in science is advanced by research from scientists who are motivated by curiosity about the world and a desire to solve problems. Contemporary scientific research is highly collaborative and is usually done by teams in academic and research institutions, government agencies, and companies. The practical impact of their work has led to the emergence of science policies that seek to influence the scientific enterprise by prioritizing the ethical and moral development of commercial products, armaments, health care, public infrastructure, and environmental protection.
