No Bel Air? Hm... It would be nice to see the reasoning on picking up specific knives over competitors in every category. I do agree about Elementum for example, but many people would argue that Raccoon or Pirate are better choices. Thanks for the video 😊
@AKOGR

@Hamilkar32 Glad you enjoyed the video man! The main reasons for picking the knives we picked was that they were ones we already had in our collections, they are all quality but fairly affordable at the same time. There are tons of good knives out there, but I only focus on ones I really like or know a lot about. So honestly I guess it just depends on personal opinion of what you like in a knife. Thank you for pointing that out! I really appreciate it and thank you for watching and leaving a comment! I really appreciate the support!!

Nice restoration buty question is that either the head has minimal heat treatment on the bits or has it been used and worked down past the treatment? I am currently restoring a vintage plumb national pattern boy scout hatchet and a vintage 4lb plumb double bit as well.
@AKOGR
@AKOGR 10 күн бұрын
@joecombs8315 Good question. I would say based off of the handle size that fit it and everything that it just had a light heat treatment to begin with. Since usually you don't see a big axe head on a small handle which would have been the case if it had been worked past the heat treat. They made these small ones as like pack axes and such and they are rarer and very cool. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment! And good luck on your projects! Those sound like fun!

One of my trainees gave me the light gray Ozark Trail $5 knife. It's actually not bad. I've got no idea what steel it is, but for $5, who cares?
@AKOGR
@AKOGR 18 күн бұрын
@techtrain65 exactly! That’s why $5-$10 knives are great in some cases. Because if you loose it or break it, oh well. Better than loosing or breaking a $300 Benchmade. Carrying the right knife for the right circumstances or job, as I like to say. Thank you for watching and glad you enjoyed the video!!

The Hunter had a locking mechanism. A much better one. But this is a very excellent low priced knife that is extremely thin and light. The weight is the best feature - it's ridiculously light! So light that I'm amazed they didn't sell this on the back of how light it is. It's INSANELY light. Genuinely the lightest knife I own for that size. STUPENDOUSLY light! And very very solid regardless. A very good pocket/kit knife. If you have the one handed version it's a very light pocket knife. Don't have the loop? Extremely good bag knife. So... So... SO light! And very solid!

How tight do these stay on your feet? I work 14 hour shifts in the mountains and enjoy keeping my boots as tight as possible. Seems like the elastic would be difficult to keep sinched down
@AKOGR
@AKOGR Ай бұрын
@NothingSekret they stay relatively tight. You might have to re-cinch them up once or twice but they usually hold decently well. Mine loosen a bit because I'm not just on my feel but catching them on logs and brush so it also depends on if you're just standing or moving vs the things that your feet are around. Hopefully that helps! Thank you for watching and leaving a comment!!

Quick comment on the QT&QY version. It's not the same bag. It's a tad smaller. And the material is different. It's an inferior quality. I have 2 Roaring Fire ones. Black and Tan. The tan has the RF logo (like yours) and the black one doesn't (ordered years apart). I bought the QT&QY black version at the same time as the Black Roaring Fire. That's why I could compare them dude by side. PS the QT&QY version came folded in half.
