My favourite Roy Wood (appearance on) track was 10538 Overture ELO. Its sad Roy didn't stay with ELO.

Thank you, I,ve listened to it over and over, and most parts sound very Roy for example the "Oy Dont Eat Em All" at the end. It was the "just One" bit that didn't to me, but happy to hear that it is definitley him, it will go on my rarities comp along with the newly found Oh Theresa, Make It Swing and full length Colourful Lady. I'm still struggling to find out if Free Sole the B side of Rock N Roll Christian is Roy though, sounds like it could be when listened to back to back with the later Harvest B Sides... Any Ideas?

Roy was the 'Jingles for Pringles Ambassador' in 2008 and his jingle was on their website at the time (but has now gone) www.rocktownhall.com/blogs/jingles-for-pringles-ambassador-roy-wood/

I can't help with Free Sole as I've never seen it confirmed as having anything to do with Roy - yes similar to some of his B sides, but I would have thought Roy would have insisted that if he wrote/produced it, that it should have his credit on it - then again as Don Arden was involved in getting it together, nothing would surprise me - I once asked Andrew Loog Oldham about it, and you can see his reply on this page - think it’s the 5th question down on this page www.angelfire.com/rock2/hotstuff/images/news2.html

I got an old Alto sax in 1973, and I actually dressed up as Roy Wood that Halloween, Face painted sweet, and for the hair I used my Mum's Fur coat in strips :) I would have killed for a camera that night!!

The Move had one of the most dynamic lineup with tons of potential- Each member was Charismatic and dynamic. Too bad more footage like that 1967 Beat Club stuff does not seemingly exist.

In January 81 I went to see the ELO Twilight Tour at Birmingham NEC. As the crowd was filling up, from my seat high up on one side, I saw Roy walking to his front row seat. I shouted "Roy!" at the top of my voice. He turned and gave me the "Thumbs Up"

In case anyone's wondering: the guy at the extreme left of the picture at 1:38 is their then-manager Tony Secunda. The photo was taken as they were about to head into court for the libel suit brought by Prime Minister Harold Wilson.
