A question. With ruminants, do these plant microbes survive the digestive process? If yes, is their dung significant in cycling or translocation of these microbes in soil? Do rumen microbial flora change with changes in ingested plant microbes?

Yes, they can! Microbes and phytochemicals from the plants can change the microbiome in the gut. There has been a lot of work done with feeding animals sileage and microbe rich foods to increase overall health in the field.

If you allow chlorinated water to stand for a few days (exposed to fresh air, so no lids!) the chlorine will off gas. Best test for chlorine before use, however

You can also bubble it for 24 hours to speed up the process. However that does not work for chloramine and many water utilities use chloramine. You can neutralize the chloramine by adding humic acid. Add enough to tinge the water brown. It is very effective. A very small amount can treat large sources of water.

He's just trying to state the fact that there is molasses in it and she can't let him be right.🤣😂🤣 Even though they're absolutely is molasses and knf most knf cycles I see use brown sugar brown sugar uses molasses.

He (I) brought it up because it's an inside joke and it was to illustrate that we don't use molasses in KNF. We use sugar for the osmotic pressure it creates. Molasses does not have that effect as it has much more water in it. Yes brown sugar has molasses in it. But we aren't using molasses as an input for our ferments and many recipes online falsely call for molasses as an input for KNF recipes. Happy growing!
