Is it so difficult to get admission in Darden. My daughter got admission in Darden in 2019 alongwith my friend's son, without attending any classes. She got admission in 1 or 2 other top institute also. She joined Darden & passed out with flying colours. It's one of the best in world as per them. Both got placement in MBB.

To be Honest, INSEAD doesn't deserve that hype it gets. Moreover, about the point you made - why there are less French Nationals and it's more diverse bcoz French students are not much interested in going to INSEAD. For them, it's a scam to pay that much of fees. Moreover a college without a proper big campus, doesn't deserve to get the best students. And then INSEAD has not been able to place most of their international students in France. Most of them go to London, Singapore or that Dubai. So, I don't think INSEAD deserves to be in even top 30
@AshwinVishwanathan Жыл бұрын
I don't know if one should conflate campus to rankings. And i think most internationals go to those countries because that's where the jobs are. Finally, I'm not a fan of rankings at all -- what i care for is whether internationals like us can get the best bang for the buck - from a career uplift, higher pay, and a job in a country we desire.

It's pretty obvious HEC is a better school if you want to work in France, Insead is supposed to be global but they can't teach you French. If you don't have a European Work Permit or speak fluent French it's difficult to get a job in the same country. People go to Singapore and Dubai because there aren't a lot of great comparable schools in those areas and those particular EMEA locations pay as well as US jobs.

Hello, I'm Aaditya. Originally from northern India, I come from a small town. At the moment, I'm studying at a small college in my city. I'm planning to apply for a deferred MBA at a few top US business schools. It's my dream to study MBA at a top US business school. Even though I am not from a top Indian university like the IITs or NITs, I still want to give it a try. I just want to know if my profile is good enough to get into top US deferred MBA programs. The following is a list of my qualifications. Name - Aaditya Singh Education - Bachelor of arts (2.2 GPA), Master of Arts (3.8 GPA), Bachelor of business studies (3.6 GPA). Leadership- High school football captain, college sports committee leader, worked for a non-profit for two years extracurriculars - Played football state level & state level shooting competition. cocurricular - Won many sports competitions at school and university level, won a marketing case competition at college. * I've two bachelor's degrees One in Arts and the other in business. * I'll also be preparing for GMAT this year and will try to get a score above (720). * I'll be working for an FMCG company for two years as an area sales manager. - Is my profile decent enough to get into top us MBA programs? What should I do in the coming 2 years to increase my chances and make my profile more competitive to get into my dream (M7) schools? Would a low GPA in my 1st undergrad degree affect my chances and should I apply on the bases of my second undergrad degree?

Thank you Aswin and siddarth, it was useful and quite detailed in all manners. it also kinda makes me believe that most of the Indian students who get into hbs are mostly from iit's or nit's. Would wish to see an interview from a non iit'ian or an nit'ian. You know hbs and similar business schools are a dream of many commerce background students as well.

Such an informative video, but it made me believe that if you don't have LOR from HBS alumni who is also a minister in cabinet, you can't get into Harvard 🥺
@AshwinVishwanathan3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words. While it is true that having an alum write your recommendation is an advantage, it is almost inconsequential that the person is a cabinet minister. I didn't have any such recommender but I still made it to Ross and MIT -- so there is hope; you can do better.

Sir does high school grades are also consider during MBA selection process at top business schools like Harvard, Wharton or colombia or they just consider undergrad GPA.
@AshwinVishwanathan3 жыл бұрын
I'm not certain if high school grades count. Undergrad scores / GPA is certainly evaluated. The higher, the better.
