Did you get the chip auger? If so how has it been working? I've had mine for about 3 weeks now and the chip auger is super frustrating. I can run it for an hour without a single chip coming out of the chute.

Hi Recoil, I did not get the chip auger. But I may add it. Sorry to hear yours is not performing as expected. Call your HFO they should straighten that out for you under warranty.

I am doing the exact same thing with a cnc supra (the knee type mill) and i was wondering how you wired the VFD up on the C32 board.

@Ron Sandwich honestly the control was garbage but the machine did its job. I put a stronger power supply on the steppers and it would mill steel no problem

For those who have a CNC Masters Baron, do you find it is rigid enough to cut stainless steel? I'm giving up on my Taig micro mill after a couple of years of wasting hundreds of dollars of endmills due to deflection within the frame and spindle motor stalls, even when cutting well below the manufacturer's recommended feeds/speeds. From the specs on CNC Masters' site, a Baron seems to be the step up I need for cutting stainless without quickly burning out endmills, but I don't know anyone who has one.

Hi Rich. How much did the conversion cost? Also, when you converted to Mach 3, did you get more speed out of the stepper motors, or was it about the same? My CNC Masters MAX Mill starts to gag at anything over 30 ipm when interpolating Thanks.

Hi Paul, I dont remember conversion cost, it's been a few years now. Probably $1000-1500usd-ish. But well worth it I believe. I think the steppers are running the same speed but you could probably get more with the Mach tuning. I don't need it because with the hogging I do, I usually run out of horsepower before linear speed.

Hello! I am looking to purchase a CNC Masters MAX CNC Mill within the next few weeks. If I am going to strictly go the CAD/CAM route (no on-the-fly commands on the controller), I shouldn't have anything to worry about, correct?

Update, I have tested a fix that Area51 did and it works perfectly now! He is going to do a proper fix and get it out to everyone.
